“absolutely beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

A must-do in Sevilla, the colors, the shapes, the water and the fountain in the middle... it is absolutely gorgeous. For sure one of the most beautiful squares in the world.

“beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

We entered the Plaza throught the Puerto Aragon, and couldn't believe our eyes!

This stunning Plaza is a wacky combination of early 20th Spanish national pride, education and artesan skill...ceramic tiles depicting regions of Spain and historical events adorn the vast buildings, there is a fountain, a boating lake, donkey carriages and boat rides surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Totally astonishing and most beautiful under the azure winter skies.

The toilets were unfortunately closed (vandalised?) during our visit.

“Worth a visit, even in scorching heat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Well worth the visit if your in Seville with plenty of photo opportunties.

The tiles and structure are awesome and the centre fountain offers some relied from the 40C temperatures (yes I am used to this heat in South Australia and it is still hot)

Take a look at the Military Museum while you are there, I am interested in this kind of thing so dont miss it if you are also interested.

So get down there, take your time, look at all the tiles and bring a large memory card for your camera

“Stunning and Beautiful Worth Visiting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

We travel all over the world on National Geographic trips and are always looking for beautiful places to photograph. The Spanish Plaza is stunning! This is especially nice towards sunset. This plaza was built in 1929 for a Worlds Fair and is a huge horseshoe square with a series of ornated tiled areas that present a history of each of the americas spanish territories. There are small boats available to rent for 15 or 30 minutes to oar around a small moat for a romantic fun activity. I am surprised this is not ranked higher in some of the tour books. It is beautiful!
