“Fabulous location and great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

If you want mini bars, trouser presses etc then don't go here. If you like atmosphere, charm and great staff then this is the place for you. The location is perfect for seeing all the sites, shopping and tapas bar hopping. The hotel is stacked with antique furniture but has very efficient heating or air conditioning, which ever you need. The bathrooms are modern with loads of hot water. The whole place is spotless.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It was built as a posh family mansion in the 18th century and all the original architecture is there to enjoy: from the typical sevillian inner courtyard to the grand staircase and corridors leading to the various rooms. Antique furniture and paintings are also dotted around the hotel. Our room was lovely; when we opened the door we couldn't believe our eyes: we had our own mini-alhambra right there: the arab arches, and wall tiles, the stucco detailing, stained glass windows, plus the modern comfort of our own ensuite with plenty of hot water and a great strong shower. Plus a very comfy bed, with great mattress. The room also faced the back so it was very quiet. Unbelievable considering the hotel is right in the centre, a mere 2 min walk from the Cathedral and other tourist sights. Our stay was very relaxing and peaceful and we will be returning again to this same hotel. The staff are super helpful. My parents had recommended staying there and it's very much a word of mouth hotel with loyal clients returning again and again. Amazing value for money, we paid approx £50 per night for the room for the two of us over Christmas, which was a great deal! There is no mini bar or TV but that's a frill we felt we didn't need in Seville? However, you do have free Wi-Fi if you need it.

It is all about location! This one star hotel is ideally situated especially if you are staying for just one night or so. It is close to everything. Rooms are clean and have a charm from some other century.
It is also affordable! So if you are not into luxury and five stars, this hotel is warmly recommended.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Simon in Seville and were very happy with that choice as the look of the hotel was nice, it was clean, well presented and located right in the centre of town. The entrance is lovely as it leads into the atrium filled with big plants. It appeared to be a hotel as well as a museum as the mirrors and pictures on the wall were very old and manorial. Our room was a double room with an ensuite bathroom including a BD and bath. The room was very spacious and very clean. The window lead towards a road which was busy with people in the evening but not noisy as there were two glass windows that could be opened. Nearby were nice bars which were busy in the evenings and cafeterias where we had breakfast. Paying 50€ for the double room was reasonable.

This hotel is near everything in Sevilla. However, the heater was on and the connection was broken in our room. The girl at the desk said she would turn the heat off. This did not happen. Also, we had hot showers when we arrived, but this morning only cold water. Also, no one at the desk speaks any English so it was difficult to communicate.
