“Value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Spend 2 nights at the hotel in beginning of August. Excellent service at reception - both check-in and at at departure. Good parking facility and god location in town with walking distance to points og interest. Hop-on hop-of bus stop nearby. Hotel staff very competent and friendly. Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms good in size, very clean and with all facilities needed. Small but very clean pool on the roof. Good pool area and god snackbar in connection with pool..

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We had quite a few requirements, central location, easy to reach by car, with parking, a pool and comfortable rooms. Hotel Becquer ticked all the boxes. I booked directly with the hotel using the reference quoted in the managers replies on this site. We were travelling as a family with teenagers so asked the hotel for two rooms nearby each other and booked parking. I got a very prompt reply from the hotel agreeing my requests. We arrived about an hour before check in but were given our rooms straight away. They were very comfortable overlooking an inner courtyard, whilst there was no view to speak of it had the advantage of no noise at all. The rooms were comfortable fairly spacious and well equipped with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a pillow menu. My one issue with the room is despite it being non smoking a previous occupant had clearly been smoking in the bathroom. The buffet breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and was served until 11 am which was great for us with teenagers who do not like to get up early.
The roof terrace is really spacious, lots of seats and sun loungers, lovely views over the city to the Cathedral and a small pool. There is a bar serving drinks and cocktails from 11 am to 11 pm and towels are provided for guests. It is 10-15 minutes walk to the Cathedral but there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We loved Seville and would highly recommend it for a city break.

Room Tip: If you have a particular room request just ask the hotel were very efficient and accommodating

We had a spacious and clean room which was nicely decorated. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. We enjoyed a continental breakfast on the roof terrace and although the choice wasn't varied it was reasonably priced and the views are lovely. Our car was parked for us and staff returned it to us when we left, stopping traffic to let us on to the street. The hotel is well located near the canal and the tour bus passes close by. There were plenty places to eat offerinf a wide choice of foods. We really liked the city and found plenty to see.

IT is a relatively old hotel but close to every atraction. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Impresive top floor terrace with a small swimming pool and a bar. Breakfast is served there with and splendorous view of the Cathedral and its Giralda tower. Lots of restaurants and also fast food venues around. It seems also friendly for families with kids. A must in Sevilla.

Room Tip: Avoid main street facing rooms because of the traffic noise.

The Hotel Becquer is a wonderful hotel. The staff were friendly and spoke English. The hotel offers a free walking tour each evening provided by a university group. This was a wonderful way to learn more about the main monuments in the cool of the evening, but the tour is over 2 hours long, so wear sensible shoes. The rooms were clean & spacious, with great firm pillows! Our neighbours were a bit noisy, and we could hear them talking loudly and their TV. The hotel offers an alternate lighter breakfast on the pool terrace for a fraction of the cost of their restaurant breakfast, which was perfect for us. There was free wifi in the room & the location is very central & safe. We were a short walk from the main square, the major monuments and shopping district. Highly recommended.

I loved this hotel. It was very clean, the food was amazing, the staff helpful and attentive. The breakfast was brilliant-selection for everyone. The evening means were delicious and well presented. We ended up eating in the hotel every evening after the first few nights as the food was much nicer than any restaurants we found nearby. The pool area was clean with fantastic views, especially in the evening. The hotel areas were clean and decorated with style. Efficient air con. Good sized rooms, finished to a high standard. A very comfortable stay. Near lots of sights and picturesque meandering. A very happy time.
