“Perfect hotel for a hot summer city trip to Sevilla”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

We enjoyed the hotel Silken Al Andalus Palace.

We booked a Junior Dream Elite Room. The room was clean and all comfort is available.
It is a very spacious room with bad and separate shower. Airco was powerful enough even with 38°C outside temp. We had the feeling that not a lot of the guests go for the Elite service.
Although it is nice to get access to the Elite lounch with all extras. We like the extra service of the Elite club. The breakfast was more then OK. All you can think of was available.
Reception/staff was very friendly and helped us out on all our requests. We were guided to some very nice restaurants and tapa bars in the neighborhood. Restaurant Clara and tapa bar next to it are very nice with nice local athmospheer. The neighborhood is very nice. Very relaxing area, in the middle of nice apartments and villa's. It was very save to walk around.
Many bus-lines bring you to the city center in 15 min.

To spend the summer in a city like Sevilla, this hotel is ideally. This hotel combines a good location with fast connection towards the center and has a big and beautifull garden in where you can relax and enjoy the swimming-pool.

So the expectations that are set and created on your website are 100% correct.
For us, this is very important that you can trust what a company is proposing for a certain price.

Room Tip: Pay some extra to get the Elite service. It's really nice.

Not convenient for sightseeing. It's a bus or taxi to the center and the main attractions. The hotel
is half occupied, with one half very run down and unused. The front desk were good and helpful, the staff very pleasant everywhere. The rooms and service were good and the pool area a bonus after a long day in town sightseeing. So if you don't mind waiting for a bus, or paying for a taxi the hotel is fine. The buffet breakfast and evening meal were good.

Downside: Seville has so much to offer and you really want to be in town so that you can go back to your hotel for a bit of a rest in the heat of the day, and then in the evenings just walk, out to the many excellent restaurants to eat. We took the bus into town late for dinner and found a small restaurant and while having dinner a Flamenco dancer just came by and started to dance, then people just got up and joined her - magic! You don't get that around the hotel,
and it was a pain getting a bus back to the hotel.

Room Tip: When checking in you have an option to pay extra for an upgrade - if you can afford it, do it.

A nice hotel, near the centre of Sevilla. Taxi to the centre : 5,50€ or by bus : 1,40€/person.
The swimming pool is a good option after a long day of walking through this beautiful city. The restaurant is good but not exceptional.

I honestly cannot believe some of the nonsense posted about this hotel. It beggars belief that someone posts about a barely visible piece of graffiti on a small almost hidden sign when the hotel has a truly stunning frontage and a breathtaking entrance hall and enormous lobby. Sure it is not in the centre of Seville but if you stay in the centre (and we have) you will not find a hotel with a magnificent resort style pool complex like Al Andalus which is a haven and an oasis amidst the heat of Seville. And the bus into town is only 100 yards away and costs a mere 76 cents with transfers to trams, metro etc for an hour. Or take a taxi for 6 Euros. The rooms are very comfortably and tastefully furnished and the breakfast - just try to imagine the selection in any other 4 star hotel you have ever stayed in and then double it. The staff ate highly efficient and helpful. This is the third time we have stayed in Al Andalus and the hotel is one of the main reasons we keep returning to Seville. I have awarded the hotel 5 stars - if I was allowed to I would have given it more.

I found the staff extremely helpful ( in particular a chap called Fran).
The hotel is a bit far away from the center and although connections are relatively easy, you need to know your way ( bus stop had moved due to roadworks and parking in the center is expensive- which is kind of normal on all spanish Cities)
The main problem with the room was that air-con was noisy and not working, so we had a very hot night
Overall a good 4 star hotel, but keep in mind is not IN the center and they need to fix the air-con issues

A hotel that is so disappointing but has won a 2013 award from Tripadvisor amazes me. The hotel is in urgent need of a renovation, including staff.
The first thing you see when you finally find the hotel is the sign has graffitti all over it.
Reception was ver unorganised and queue to check in took us nearly 30 minutes. The staff were just not clued up when we did finally got to the front of the queue.
The room is dated and well just gloomy and dark.
The view was...basically a building wall. The room had the thinnest walls it was unbelievable. We had a 10 month old baby and the noise did not help in putting her to slepp. Including listening the next roomvomiting, which wasn't in the slightes pleasant! The bathroom is basic and whilst this isn't a problem, I'm still not quite sure why there were 2 sinks.
We had room service, the food was appallling.
We stayed here 1 night and basically even 1 night is not worth staying here for.

Room Tip: Don't get a room and find a new hotel, this is my tip!

The pool was the draw to this hotel which was well used . Large hotel best suited for conferences than as a holiday spot. A bus ride into Seville and taxis parked outside for convenience. Breakfast has a variety to suit all tastes sadly the hot food was often cold as their heating element was faulty. A complaint to the manager who acknowledge the problem which was not solved during our stay.
No first aid on site nor was there anyone trained to assist in an accident I had. The ramp leading to the pool is not marked and is a danger . There was no signs alerting their client to the dangers that there is a ramp same colour as the path . The manager was sympathetic and noted my complaint with a letter of apology. This is an international hotel with a local attitude and does not come up to the mark .
Great laundry service at a price.
