“So worth it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

My family and I stayed here over Thanksgiving. Our daughter was spending a semester in Sevilla, so we came to visit. We hd two rooms (our daughter moved in with us for the stay) on the second floor -- a deluxe facing the front of the hotel and a standard overlooking the outside bar area. It was a great experience. Absolutely loved the decor of the rooms. Opulent without being stuff. The windows are great in that they open out -- yet have automatic controls to keep out light and sound. Frankly, the only problem with the rooms were that the doors to the hallway were very squeky. We never called to the front desk about it, but all other requests were taken care of in short order.

We wanted to take a day trip one day and the front desk arranged for a car and driver. The driver came up with an itenerary which included the city of Ronda. Totally worth it and our 15 year old son thought it was his favorite part of Spain.

This beautiful hotel is in a fantastic location in Seville. A quick 7 or 8 euro cab ride from train station and you arrive at this historic property which is nearly perfect! I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite on the 1st floor facing the front of the hotel. The furnishings were all nice and new, my room had two Juliet balconies to the front. While noise certainly made its way into the room (from nearby tram line), the overall ambiance of looking out over the city outweighed the slight inconvenience. The bathroom was well appointed with high quality products and linens. The breakfast had a wide array of items but as a previous reviewer stated some items on the “hot bar” such as hash browns were actually cold.

A slight disappointment in my room, which I fully recognize as minor was the lighting situation. There are numerous chandeliers, wall sconces and table lamps in the suite but they are “all or nothing” on full power bright or off, with the recent full renovation, I would think they could have put some dimmers in.

Regardless, this is a fantastic property with lovely rooms and the common areas are nearly breathtaking in places. The staff are all gracious and accommodating and the location cannot be beat. I cannot wait to return to the Alfonso some day.

Room Tip: Visit Seville during the Christmas season for a wide array of market stalls, street decorations and...

We enjoyed the beautifully restored Moorish architecture of this hotel. We found the service exceptional, friendly, and very accommodating. I think it was a favorite of our stays in Spain. The room was very large and the bathroom spectacular. The entire property was spotless.

Perfect room. Very quiet.
Perfect service.
Ideal location. In a few minutes you can reach by walking the cathedral and the shopping streets
Nice swimming pool which is well appreciated when it is very hot in Sevilla.

Many top London hotels welcome non-residents for very expensive tea and cakes. There's no tradition for high tea in Spain but do pop in for tea and or a sandwich . They made us feel very welcome. I guess smart casual helps .

i had a Magical stay in the Alfonso XIII, Seville. The hotel has so much beauty, you are constantly looking around in marvel. The Breakfast was So relaxing and just what you need to start the day, easy and sweet. As a vegetarian, I would had love to have seen a little more vegetable option though still delicious. Our favourite was spending time with Sergio in the Bogedga Bar, he was charming/ funny and took such good care of myself and family. So much that my family insisted to return the next day especially to see Sergio again! a beautiful city, leaving with amazing memories, i hope to return again soon..
