This is a really old tower dating from Moorish times which was used to control the shipping - even though Seville is far inland, it used to be a major seafaring port, apparently. Admission is a measley €3 each so, given that, it seems a bit churlish to complain about the fact that there is not a lot to do apart from admire the views, unless you are into naval history. One interesting thing was that naval officers all seem to look the same whether they are English or Spanish. The uniform they were wearing in the old portraits looks exactly the same as a British naval uniform! I also noticed the attractive Moorish-style tiling in the staircase. Worth the admission and half an hour of anyone's time.
