“Worth the €3”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

This is a really old tower dating from Moorish times which was used to control the shipping - even though Seville is far inland, it used to be a major seafaring port, apparently. Admission is a measley €3 each so, given that, it seems a bit churlish to complain about the fact that there is not a lot to do apart from admire the views, unless you are into naval history. One interesting thing was that naval officers all seem to look the same whether they are English or Spanish. The uniform they were wearing in the old portraits looks exactly the same as a British naval uniform! I also noticed the attractive Moorish-style tiling in the staircase. Worth the admission and half an hour of anyone's time.

“Decent views from the top but terrible customer service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

There's a lot of steps to reach the top but once you get there, you'll get some nice views of the city. The museum spread over 2 floors on the inside is only really useful if you have a reasonable level of Spanish. However, the staff had terrible attitudes; they only seemed interested in taking your money and weren't particularly friendly or helpful at all. The cost of admission was €2; gave them a €10 note and only received €3 in return. Only when I queried this in Spanish and pointed out that I should be getting €8 back did they give me the €5 I was owed. Given their body language and attitude, I highly doubt this was a mix-up or just forgetfulness on their part. It smacked of dishonesty.

“Average Attraction”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

The tower serves as a Navel museum now. The staircase to the top is a good prep for climbing the Giralda Tower at the Cathedral.
Several models of some famous ships, such as the Niña, Pinto and Santa Maria are on display. The viewing platform has some good views of the river and the city.

“That's a tower”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

Area of the city is worth strolling atound - near the bullring and along the river with many opportunities for food, drink and shopping for souvenirs - interesting sight but did not appear to have much going on aside from the view. Climb the cathedral tower instead.

“Great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

But be warned .... there are 93 steps to the top ... interesting collection of maritime memorabilia ... and superb views of Seville as a reward for your efforts to climb the stairs.
