Book online, pick your time and walk to the front of the queue. Make sure you bring i.d. if you qualify for any refuced entry.

Once inside you'll be delighted, surprised and enchanted by equal measure.

It really is an essential part of any visit to Seville

“Sensory Overload”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

When in Seville do not miss a trip to the Alcazar, it is a magnificent site to explore. Every step you take will provide you with something wonderful to see from the interior atrium, though the halls, viewing the ceilings, tapestries, gardens etc. etc. If traveling with a student, remind them to bring their id. Adult admission is 8 euros, a student is only 2!!!

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

We went as part of a company group and they organised tours by language. Truly an amazing site that you must see if you're in Seville. Wonderful memories of Grenada -- yet mixed with other influences.

“Beautiful architecture and gardens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

The Alcazar is right next to the Cathedral and the area where you queue on the central paved Plaza. In March this was quite pleasant, watching the crowds, street entertainers and horse and carts. BEWARE: if you go in summer there is NO shade, and you could be queueing for some time. However you can buy your tickets in advance and avoid the queue. Don't forget to take your student/senior citizen passes(or passport, driving licence or something with your age). I paid about 8 euros, my husband's ticxket cost him 2 euros wirth his pass.
Once you get inside there is some outstanding architecture, tapestries, ceilings, paintings.and I should imagine the gardens will be beautiful later in the year. Ijn March there wasn't a lot growing, but they were still lovely to walk around and see the different styles.
