Had a great time in Seville which was supported by a great hotel. The staff in the hotel could only be friendly and supportive with all the requests especially Christina. The hotel is well designed and contemporary. Great location for the old parts of Seville. Close to tapas bars but still quiet enough to relax. Lovely for couples. You don't have to have breakfast in the hotel, there are plenty of other options within walking distance.

The Fontecruz doesn’t look big from the outside, but it’s massive on the inside, as it goes all over the place to accommodate a swimming pool, a sauna as well as a rooftop bar and a ground-floor restaurant etc.

I stayed with a friend for just one night in mid-July and we booked online for €140 bed only (breakfast would have cost much more), and the Fontecruz is easy to find (five-minute walk to the Catedral), clean and very pretty. Staff were very helpful and friendly – and they all speak English. There’s free wi-fi throughout the hotel, and plenty of English channels on the satellite TV. Bed was comfortable and there were enough to charge all the essential electronics. Amenities were ok – small shops were nearby and bigger supermarkets a few more minutes’ walk away. Likewise, public transport is plentiful. To walk to the train station takes about 30 minutes, for example.

The bathroom was clean but a little awkward. The sliding door to the bathroom doesn’t lock (didn’t matter to us but it maybe a problem for you). Sinks are separate from the toilet and the shower which can be a good and a bad thing. The shower is fixed overhead so you’d have to find a way of not getting your hair wet. These are just minor things and on the whole, there’s not much to complain about the Fontecruz. You can hire bikes from the reception as well to ride around the city.

All in all, a great option but pricey.

Modern & stylish hotel located very centrally in a narrow street. Hard to drive to unless in a small car (we managed in a VW Polo but some corners were tricky). Beautiful hotel, particularly the central atrium, the pool, and the top floor terrace. Room on the small side but OK. Staff friendly and helpful (we got in early and went to the pool while the room was ready). Wifi a bit choppy. Not good reception from our room (217) -on an ipad-. Staff were very kind to offer a hotel laptop to see if things were better but we didn't try it. Short walk to the main monuments (Giralda, etc).
Would go back again.

This hotel is in a great location, just around the corner from the Cathedral. It has great facilities, with a lovely pool and rooftop bar, sadly closed for improvements,.

Unfortunately we went out of season, so although we got a high standard hotel at a good price, it was lacking in people and atmosphere throughout our stay, including a downstairs bar that didn't appear to be open at all.

We arrived at 10 & thought we wouldn't be able to get into our room untill 2 but we were given a choice of rooms and shown up immediately. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very spacious.Location fantastic , good breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. Any negatives ? Yes , it would have been nice to see some flowers on the terrace's and a few more sunbeds around the pool.

Stayed here for 3 nights in July following recommendation from a friend. The hotel is in the modern boutique genre hidden away amongst the quiet backstreets near the cathedral - difficult to find first time, but easy after that. The room was clean, spacious with all the amenities you expect of a modern hotel - including free wifi! The only downside being the lack of carpets on the corridors makes every door opening and closing on your floor sound as if its next door - hotel could do with some better sound insulation on the doors! However, this minor issue would not stop us booking again.

We didn't use the pool but it looked a good way to get out of that hot Sevillian afternoon sun for a few hours. The view of the cathedral and giralda from the hotel terrace makes for some good photo opportunities. Plenty of great tapas bars (and also for breakfast) to choose from right on the doorstep.

Room Tip: The hotel is at the junction of two pretty quiet streets so I would imagine all rooms are pretty qui...
