“Just AWESOME!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

It was such a wonderful experience!
This tapas bar is crazy crowded, and for a reason.
Zou will have to wait a while to get a table during dinner hours (from 9pm to 11pm) but it is totaly worth the wait!
We had a total of 6 tapas, one better than the other... the drinks ere verz good, and the waiters were super nice. I am Italian, so I can speak a bit of Spanish from mz home language, and everzbodz was super nice, helped me and even ordered for me the best tapas they had! Follow the instructions of the waiters and youäll have an amazing dinner!!!

So far best tapas in Sevillie!!!!

“One fantastic place for tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

I read about this place on Trip Advisor, Seville Traveller, and Rough Guide. They were not wrong. The place is busy to the point of chaos sometimes and the wait staff are quick to tell you to sit down and they will call out your order. But, they only call out the plate, so you have to pay attention. Four of us ate there recently. We had 10 glasses of wine, 6 tapas, and 2 raciones - all for 50 euros. Given the quality of the food and wine, it was a great deal. It was so good, my daughter and I returned a couple of nights later for a reprise. Definitely worth the walk from the cathedral area. In fact, of the places we ate in Seville, Dos de Mayo, Eslava, Bar Casa Ruperto, and Golondrinas were our favorites. Oh, and throw in Duplex for a great value menú.

“memorable outdoor lunch in the spring”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

There are so many places in Seville bustling at lunch time that it is difficult to know as a visitor which ones to try to get the best food and local experience. I went to Dos de Mayo on the recommendation of my Spanish teacher and got there early (1:30) to get a table outside since we were having rare nice spring sun in the middle of a rain spell. This is a good place to try regional favorites like adobo, espinacas con garbanzos, and pestiños for dessert if they are in season. Everything we ordered was very good. I liked the atmosphere in this plaza because many locals stroll by and stop to visit with friends who are dining there. This is a great opportunity to meet more locals and ask for more recommendations. A couple guys stopped and played a few songs on an accordion and saxophone then asked for money but they weren't too pushy and didn't stay long. Dos de Mayo is definitely worth a visit when you are in Seville.

“Cod tapas to die for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

We had to venture out of the centre of town to get away from the crowded streets due to the Semana Santa festival. I used my tripadvisor app to track down this tapas bar which thankfully had some bar room left for us to order. The bar was packed with locals and the menu only came in Spanish, so we kept an eye out for what was being ordered and kept hearing bacalao(cod). So we ordered two of the cod tapas to see what the fuss was about. This turned out to be one of the best decisions of my travels as we tasted two of the best tapas we had in our stay in Seville. The first was cod in tomato, it was a thick tomato soup with chunks of cod in, the flavours were amazing and had a kick from the peppers in it. The second tapas consisted of a fillet of cod with potato covered in a tomato, cheese and wine sauce, again a delicious combo. Both tapas were generous and overall great value for just over 8 euros with 2 wines.

“Don't go here if you're looking for a tourist trap!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

This is an amazing place. We went on recommendation of the gentleman who rented us our apartment during our stay in Sevilla, and we went back the second night because it had been so great the first night. Amazing food, loud and friendly atmosphere, mainly Sevillans who frequent the place. I would go again in a flash!
