“Good value with a couple of flaws.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2012 via mobile

Check in was efficient. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a reasonable buffet. But tea and coffee were from a machine and pretty awful. Reception staff were helpful. it was about a thirty minute walk into town, but regular busses (1 & 37) run close by. Car parking in an underground car park is an additional 11euros. The flaws were: thin walls between rooms. One night the couple next door kept us awake by talking. Then their alarm woke us up as well in the morning! The second flaw was that the cafe closed at 16:00, there were others within 5 minutes, but out of range of the hotel wi-fi. I would try the Marriot hotel at the end of the same road if I went back to Seville.

This hotel is not in the city center, but its a quick 20 minute walk to the sites. It was offered at a great price and I was very happy with the room quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English. The only downfall was when the computer in the lobby died while I was using it - they did not know how to fix it.

My parents , sister my husband and myself had to stay in sevilla palmera hotel as its just beside the hospital, we were their visiting my niece, this is august in sevilla when its 43°C. So the hotel was literally empty.

The receptionist, was rude, and unhelpful in everyway. at times even angry The rates of the room everyday would go up from 5 to 10 to 15 euros as they would say that the hotel was full!

Which i repeat it was empty, also let me add, that 3 blocks away their is a very unsafe area that they call the ''area3000''. which literally means the area of 3000pesetas! (like saying the area of 1dollar! its the most dangerous area of sevilla.

New hotel, with spacious room and bathroom. Very clean and modern. Comfortable bed and pillows. Air conditioning ( a must in Seville). Free wireless internet. There is a public parking garage (surcharge) that also has customers from the supermarket and the hospital next to the hotel.
Excellent breakfast buffet included, and many restaurants nearby for dinner.
It is not in the city center, but a taxi ride to the Cathedral or Barrio de Santa Cruz is only 7 euros.
This hotel is a good value for your money.

This hotel is brand new and very clean and functional. Excellent wifi throughout. Right beside a big supermarket, but nowhere near city centre. Very happy with my time there

The hotel is not in the center of Sevilla, you can get there by public bus. It's brand new with large rooms, very bright and clean. The staff was very kind to us pleasing some requests quickly and gently.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2010

Stayed over the Easter weekend when everything was awfully expensive. Hotel Sevilla Palmera is cheap because of it's location - mid-way between the industrial and residential area of Sevilla, it is about 15 mins walk to Plaza de Espana, and about 30 mins to the middle of Barrio Santa Cruz, where the action is.

The receptionist was really great, perhaps because they were not at peak capacity - but he took the time to explain to us what the attractions were and how we could get there.

The rooms were clean, but it's proximity to a hospital left a female friend gagging, and commenting that it smelled like a hospital. However, I liked the rooms - despite the decor being a rather boring blue. The beds were comfortable - a type of dense memory foam instead of the usual spring mattresses.

Noise was minimal, even with the train tracks about 100 metres away - think the sound proofing works really well, since this is a new hotel and all.

There's no kettle or minibar (what's with the hotels in Europe?). There is shared parking with the hospital for about 10 euros a night, free wi-fi. and free parking nearly. There is also a simple cafeteria on the premises, and a supermarket that is due to open soon.
