“Romantic Hotel and Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

My wife and I stayed five nights at Hotel Casa1800.
The location is in the Barrio Santa Cruz area
and only a block from the Cathedral and Alcazar. We stayed in an upper level room tht had wonderful views of the cathedral. The room was large. beautifully decorated and included a very comfortable bed.
The service was consistently warm and professional.

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. The complimentary afternoon tea and snacks we're a nice touch. If you are looking for a romantic stay in Seville you can't beat this hotel and its location.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in a superior room with breakfast included. Brilliant location. Friendly helpful reception staff provided excellent restaurant reservations. Our room was 2nd floor with parquet flooring and exposed ceiling beams but it was quite small and rather dark. Breakfast and free afternoon tea are taken in central courtyard. Both are self service.Atmosphere quiet and reserved. Does not have a bar or restaurant but is in Santa Cruz area which is teeming with both. Particular mention to El Pasaje tapas bar 50 yards away which was superb. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning but at 183 euros per night possibly bit expensive

Room Tip: Our room 201 was a quiet room but bit on dark side

This hotel is in a great location. The rooms are kind of small but the charm is worth it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Did I mention great location? The rooftop terrace has a great view of the cathedral

My wife and I Spent 3 very comfortable nights in a superior room during March 2013. The room was compact but very comfortably furnished. Lovely features included a very comfortable bed parquet flooring, a high ceiling with exposed wooden beams, louvre style glass doors and wooden shutters leading to a view of the narrow street below. The rooms are located around a central covered courtyard where afternoon tea is served. The roof terrace has a few seats, tables and sun loungers and affords views of the cathedral and streets around Santa Cruz and beyond.

The location is excellent for exploring the Barrios and tapas bars of central Seville on foot and is no more than two minutes walk to the Cathedral and Alcazar.

Finally the staff were very welcoming, helpful and well informed.

Overall an excellent stay in Seville in a hotel I highly recommend

We stayed only one night as we were on our way to Portugal but thanks to TripAdvisor we found this very comfortable hotel in central location handy for alcazar and cathedral. Room was small but well furnished. Weather was appalling but being in the centre meant we could reach the places of interest without getting too wet! Only word of warning is don't try to get there by car it is virtually impossible with the pedestrianized areas and one way streets.

Location- the best
Staff - the nicest people you will find in hotel front desk, they were so helpful with restaurants, things to do... really great.
Breakfast - good, not included, extra 9 euro
cleanliness - very good
Rooms - good, clean. upper floors are better. The hotel is built around an indoor courtyard, all the rooms are accessed through the courtyard. On the 2nd, 3rd floors not a problem. If yo are on the ground floor, than people sit in the courtyard right next to your room door. not a big deal, but better be higher.
Don't try driving to the hotel, and if you do than do not follow the navigation system. It will take through streets where you need to fold down the mirrors to pass. Smart car scale !!!! No parking nearby, you have to walk plus minus 7 minutes from the parking garage if you are a good little street navigator.

The hotel owners have two restaurants in Seville, ate at both. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: other than ground floor

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Spent four nights at Casa 1800 last week, deluxe room on the roof terrace with great view of the Giralda and Catedral. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating , but being March we were prepared for the rain, which it did every day with enthusiasm. I can imagine it would be very pleasant to indulge in some sun worshipping on the little private patio area, our stay meant taking an umbrella every time we went downstairs to breakfast, other guests probably wondered why we looked damp and windswept. We were comfortable even when the wind was blowing fiercely outside, I would say that being on the top floor you would experience the best and worst of the weather. The room had a large comfortable double bed was clean and attractively furnished, Bathroom was small having one basin and a walk-in shower, fine for us.
The best thing about this hotel is undoubtedly the convenient location, close to Reales Alcazares, Giralda, Catedral and an easily walkable distance from city centre and the river. Breakfast is adequate, not a large choice but enough to fill you for sightseeing. We made sure to take the afternoon snack as it kept us full enough until a late meal. I'm not great at searching out places for eating breakfast, so always ate in the hotel, we saw a good few guests doing likewise, although I do think the price is on the high side. I wouldn t say it was a great choice for families as the atmosphere is subdued and there is no real space unutilised
for operational purposes. My pet gripe as always, and I know it is accepted practice in a lot of hotels, is no small kettle etc in room. We forgot our travel kettle and I really missed not being able just to make a drink whenever I felt like it. There is Room Service if you really want to use that.

Room Tip: Rooms on floor 3 are on the roof, 302 was very quiet as it did not face onto the street below
