“Odd placement”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

Decided to go just before sunset as wanted to see the city in a different light. Can understand why locals are not happy, seems out of place in a city of beautiful buildings. Price is cheap and structure a bit bizarre. Kids would love it. Getting in lift felt like you were entering into tardis. Entrance in down some stairs off main square.

“Excellent views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

The views from the top of the parasol are fantastic, not least when you can see the parasol in front of you. A great mix of modern and ancient. The museum underneath the parasol is well worth a visit if you like Roman ruins.

“Great place to hang out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

So different to the rest of Seville - very modern surrounded by old Seville. Check out the fresh meat, fish and vegetable market and try the beef stew at the cafe at the end of the market - all the locals eat there so it has to be good

“Great view and the loved the Roman ruins in the foundations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

You get a great view of the Seville skyline from atop the mushrooms, as they are known in Seville (Las Setas). We loved the "Antiquarium" which is the foundations of Roman Ruins found under the Plaza De Encarnación when they were going to rebuild a local market many years ago. Now they have preserved the ruins, which include a lot of interesting information (but only in Spanish when I was there) in the foundations of this modern structure and below the market where you can pick up great fresh fruit and other produce at good prices.

“Must Do, Excellent Views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

We visited the 'Setas' on our first night in Sevilla, and we weren't disappointed! A modest entry charge of €1.35 allows you some commanding views over Sevilla and the surrounding areas, and I would definitely recommend that you come up for sunset as we did!

Access to the top is by lift, and once up there you are free to explore as much or as little as you want. There is a bar/cafe there for those that would like a drink too. There are a series of walkways on top of the structure itself, that go all around it providing some breathtaking views of the City itself.

The highlight was reaching the highest point, and seeing all of Sevilla lit up by the glowing sun as it set behind the hills to the west. Remember to bring a camera with you! This was well worth the money and surely must be something everyone does when in Seville!
