“A real special place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

This hotel has a second floor restaurant that is special. The food and service was gracious but not stuffy. It is gourmet food with excellent portions. This place is on the upper end of the price scale and has an extensive wine list.

“Beautiful Sevillian decor; generous portions of perfectly-cooked food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

Enjoyed our Sunday evening meal very very much. Lovely setting, old-fashioned, in fact you'd only find such a thing in Spain, probably. Not a single bad dish was served, and the lobster salad was perfectly cooked, a feat! The portion of the pigeon cooked to order was an entire bird, very generous;
Loved the appetizer of "dried melon" with sardines. The Ronda area wine called Perezoso was very tasty as was the Veleta white wine. enjoyed the desserts with the dessert wines.
166 euros for two with 2 bottles of wine, dessert wine, etc. There are menus available with even more courses. If you go take the time to explore the rest of the restaurant, well worth it

“Wonderful dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in this restaurant. On entering we were shown upstairs to a beautiful room with just a few tables. Rather than order a la carte we opted for the tasting menu of "traditional" Spanish food (there is also a more expensive menu of chef's creations), and also for the wine pairing that came with it. When one chooses to take the menu, the chef actually chooses which of the many offerings on the menu that you will get, so there was a little apprehension as some things sounded great, and there were others we weren't quite so sure of. It was almost like the chef read our minds as we got exactly what we probably would have chosen for ourselves.The food was excellent, and the serving well paced (the meal included five courses.) The wait staff were polite, proper, and friendly. The wine service was also outstanding (don't drive yourself to the restaurant!). We were offered a glass of cava at the beginning and wine came with each course with our glasses being refilled whenever they looked not full enough. This was a perfect meal in a beautiful setting.

“pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

I LOVED it! We were on our way to another restaurant near the cathedral, and as I was tired, I forced my wife to try a random restaurant we were walking past. The service was good, the food was excellent and the desert was out of this world! I don't even like desert, so for me to be impressed must take some doing. We had a 7 course tasting menu, made up of 3 entrees, 1 fish menu, 1 meat menu and 2 deserts, plus a complimentary extra sweet added on. The look of the restaurant is a bit dated but that should not put you off. I would recommend it.

“Very disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Beautiful room with elevator music playing in the background. The chef tries hard with occasional success, but bland and uninteresting food more often than not. Traditional side of menu more reliable than modernist side.
