Beautifully restored and decorated small "bistro style" hotel with a peaceful garden. Our room though not large never felt small - we overlooked the garden with a view of the tall palm tree and the sound of the fountains playing gently.
On asking if it was a first visit to Granada, the staff had no hesitation in producing a map to indicate and describe the best streets for tapas, view of the Alahambra, shopping, etc. They could not have been more helpful. My husband is a designer, as a couple we are often super critical particularly where something has clearly been "designed" but genuinely believe this to be one of the finest hotels where we have stayed in Spain and certainly rate it well above any we visited while staying in Granada.
I notice that other reviewers have commented on being charged for the Spa but this was not our experience. The staff seemed to genuinely want our feedback on how to improve the hotel so perhaps that has been taken on board.
In our view it was situated in a great central location - everywhere in the city within walking distance. Also close to bus route incl the tourist bus, restaurants and shopping areas.
The only disappointment was that there was no information about the hotel in the room - the staff were "waiting for it to be printed". I think this is a case of feeling that if the information did not "fit the brand" it should not be produced at all - a mistake I fear - we did not know, without asking, when breakfast was served, what time the spa closed, and who know what else! However, we would go back again and again and again and take friends and family.
