This is a lovely, smart and modern hotel. On arrival we got in early as the room was ready. The chap on reception was really helpful.
Rooms and bathrooms were lovely, very clean and modern with all the facilities you’d expect (including free toothbrushes). Mini bar in room but no tea/coffee making facilities.
Pay for your parking at reception when you leave (8 euros per day) as opposed to 1 euro per hour using the machine.
Don't recommend driving into Granada centre – it’s manic! You can pick up a bus outside the hotel and it’s just a few minutes to centre. Granada centre has a mixture of old and new buildings, lots of lovely shops and plenty of places to eat or just sit and watch the world go by.
We walked to the Alhambra from town centre and it just took about 15 to 20 mins (mostly uphill).
The hotel restaurant service was good but the food was just OK. The fish and veg I had were swimming in olive oil which got a bit much towards the end. The steak my OH had was rare, despite requesting medium - he had to return it but still came back the same. Was starting to realise why the restaurant wasn't busy and I'd say this is one area the hotel could improve on. Two courses for 2 people, with wine, came to around 65 euros. We decided to give brekkie a miss (although had heard good things about it from other guests).
Nice outdoor swimming pool and sunbeds on the first floor for guest use.
Hotel bar atmosphere was very relaxing with the option to buy snacks.
All staff at the hotel are really friendly. Big tip: Brush up on your Spanish basics, because most staff don’t speak or understand English.
Would definitely return (but would eat elsewhere!) and would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
