My family and I stayed here for 2 nights during October 2007. The hotel was then very new and I decided to take a chance based on very few Tripadvisor reviews. Boy, was that a good return!

We booked directly with the hotel and received a very low price of 60euros a night. The hotel was very flexible with allowing a 13 year old to count as a child in parents' room even though their policy is that children must be under 12.

Location is a bit out of the way but we had no problem getting there with a taxi. There is also a bus stop right next to the hotel if you want to go to town and it is very close the the Alhambra by taxi.

The hotel building has a horrible design in the shape of a generic orange box...don't be alarmed, the inside is very new and has a sleek modern look. Everything from the lobby to our toilet was sparkling and smelt new.

Staff members throughout this hotel do not speak a word of English. This included the person who answered you when you dialed for reception and the people taking your room service order. The only staff member who did speak English was the senior person in check in. This, however, is quite common in Spain and although this establishment was particularly low on English speakers we managed to get everything we needed whilst practicing our Spanish thanks to the extremely helpful attitude and smiley service we received from all employees we encountered. We arrived at the hotel rather late and restaurant was closed but staff opened the bar just for us and made a lot of efforts to accommodate us.

Our rooms were fantastic. Everything was unusually clean, almost as if never used. We had one king size bed and an additional cot in the room. The king size beds are huge and are made up of 2 separate single beds. this seems to be the norm in Spain and they seem to think it preferable to one large bed. Style of rooms was minimalist but luxurious and fixtures were to a very high standard.

Now to the cons, due to the location of the hotel there is nowhere to go out for dinner in the area. The hotel has a restaurant which we did try. Food was good but the service was extremely slow even is Spanish terms. Servers were still very nice and tried hard but we spent 3 hours eating two courses! this was a bit of an issue for us but we made sure to eat an early dinner in town before we went back to the hotel the following evenings.

If you have a car or don't mind taking taxis to town during evening hours, this is an amazing bargain or an hotel. Great quality of accommodations with a very low price.

This was my 6th stay at this hotel in the past year and I have not had a bad experience yet. I was even hessitant about posting here before as I do not want to loose the great rates that give such a great value. I have paid between 60 or 80 euros.

One time when the lower last minute rate was bookable online they even added 2 breakfast buffets as I had already pre-paid the higher rate. Pre-paids can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior. Great customer service.

The free WIFI internet and the easy on-street parking with direct bus every 20 minutes into the city (6am to 11:30pm) along with only 6 to 9 euro taxi fare from city center (6-10 minutes) make this the perfect choice in Granada for me.

I do not enjoy driving in the center of Granada so the fact that I can just take the motorway all the way around the city and just take the left on the roundabout at the end of the tunnel where the road to the right heads to the Sierra Nevada and the hotel is right in front of you.

Can not be easier to find by car. Just A-44 to A-395 towards Sierra Nevada, keep left lane to end, hotel direct in front. Garage right on round-about, always find free parking directly in front or on first street to side of hotel, Is a new residencial area buing built around hotel.

Alhambra just to left up steep Sta. Maria de la Alhambra which begins at the hotel, nice view from small park half way up, great for sunsets over city.

Even the 3 euro airport bus took a visitor of mine to the bus terminal or to stop one of the Gran Via where the bus 33 then goes to the hotel with stop just in front and 15 minute ride.

You can buy a bus card for 7 euros for multi-person use. 2 euros is deposit for the card and 5 euros value at around 30% discount of the current 1.10 euro one-way fare. Can ask for free transfer.

Only thing I have noted is that all rooms that dont have the king-size beds have the 2 double beds together right next to each other and not seperated with a table in-between as might be preferred by some guests.

  • Liked — location with parking and easy access
  • Disliked — beds could be separated in rooms with 2 double beds.

We drove directly to this hotel (by accident) in our rental car.
As you follow the highway signs to the Alhambra, you'll literally run right into this hotel.

All of the previous reviews were accurate. This hotel is very near to the Alhambra (we walked uphill and back the following day after we arrived). It was about a 25 minute walk, but the views were excellent and we enjoyed the excercise after traveling for so long in the car.

Modern amenities, well-decorated and nice views.

Very modern hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Staffs were very helpful. We drove by the first time not realizing that this was the hotel we booked with the budget price! The location was perfect for us to take the bus to the Alhambra or another bus to the city center. The best hotel we stayed during our one week stay in Andalusia.

Well equipped and spacious modern hotel with underground parking at reasonable rates.Well sited, as name suggests, for Alhambra
Staff friendly and very helpful.Rooms good quality
Did not eat in restaurant but enjoyed two excellent meals in next door restaurant " Albanta" - not cheap but really good food and service.
Only mild drawback is that hotel is a bit out of the centre - but excellent bus service just outside hotel every 15 minutes.
Would stay again
