Nice Hotel. Near Alhambra (by bus or car - do not try walking...too far!). Altough its far from Granada Centre, its easy to get there by bus or car (if you go by car, park your car only in parking lot - its expensive, but safe).
Excellent services, nice staff, clean.....we loved this place. Best deal!

From the top. First it's easy to get to (the Ronda Sur finishes and you're there, although you'll need to mark the hotel on your satnav as on our version the road wasn't actually named) second parking either on the street outside or in the car park is problem free, third the front desk team are just great - friendly, helpful and always cheerful, fourth the rooms are really clean, comfortable and quiet, fifth the breakfast choices and quality of the food are pretty good, sixth, the bus stop into town is literally 50 yards from the hotel and the service was frequent and reliable (one Euro per person each way). A great base for exploring Granada and the Sierra Nevadas.

Stayed at the Macia Real de la Alhambra for 3 nights in April 2008 and found the hotel to be very clean and modern. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and well maintained with efficient air conditioning. Some of the upper floor rooms have views of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

On the downside, the hotel is well out of the city and although 20 minutes walk from the Alhambra ticket office, this is up a fairly steep road. You may want to save your energy for the sights. We used taxi's daily to get to and from the city and to the Alhambra. Budget on about 18 euros a day. There are not normally taxis outside but the very efficient front desk will ring for one and it only takes about 5 minutes to arrive.(There is a bus stop nearby but getting reliable information on routes and times proved difficult)

Buffet breakfasts in the restuarant now cost 9 euros and offer a reasonable choice of hot (sometimes warm) and cold food.

Although the food and service for dinner in the restuarant is good, the choice of main courses is somewhat limited especially if you don't like fish.

In conclusion, our stay was enjoyable and the hotel good value despite having to allow for taxis which were the most convenient transport to make use of the time available

We picked this hotel as we were driving into Granada and knowing what a nightmare the roads are within Granada wanted a hotel that was very near the Alhambra and good parking.

The hotel cost us 80 euros with a further 8 euros for parking for 24 hours. It was great, very easy to find from Granada airport as it was on the ring road and well signposted for the Alhambra.

We only stayed for 1 nights. Didnt try the food as we got a taxi into Granada city which cost 6 euros. On the morning of the Alhambra visit we waited for the bus outside which failed to arrive even after 1/2 hour. So i would recommend you get a taxi. They take you straight to the ticket office. We did book our tickets online before so we knew exactly what time our visit to the Nasrid Palace was going to be. The ticket queue if you hadnt booked online was very long!

Overall we were really pleased with this hotel and i can thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
