“A great place to stay, with warm staff and a nice location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

We stayed in Granada for only 3 days, but staying at the hotel made it so much easier for us to experience the city, even though we had limited time. The managers, Firas and Marisa did their best to help us with whatever we needed, including bus tickets, and have extensive knowledge about the best ways to see the various places of interest in the city. The rooms were very clean, and were equipped with heaters. The breakfast served was very wholesome and one of the best we had on our entire trip. The hotel is located 5 minutes away from the city centre, making it a very good located place to stay. Although Granada can be a little noisy at night, the hotel is situated in a quiet lane, so we had no trouble getting sleep at night and we weren't disturbed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Granada and experience all it has to offer.

Room Tip: Choose the family room on the topmost floor. Beautiful city view.

I just returned from a weekend at Granda and stayed at this pension. It is very nice, clean, excellent location just between Darro Street and San Antonio Street. The rooms are small, yet very cozy and above all the people treat you with warmth and offer you all the possible help.
The prices are accessible and close to a bus stop if you are taking the bus or train.
I would def stay here again when I come back to Granada!
Thanks for all the inside information about Granada and it's history!!

For 66 EUR per night this hotel is a bit overpriced. Stayed for a day in the double room. Very small one. The bad and luggage was filling all the room. But was clean, very nice bathroom and comfy bad.
The free Internet access was not accessible from the room.
Also the hotel location is not the best. You have to walk 10 min to the most near bus station going to Alhambra. Or 35-45 min walking. Also historical part of the town is 20-25 min walking to the hotel.
The official starting hour for breakfast is 7.30. The breakfast was not ready by 7.30 and we had to leave to find tickets for Alhambra.
By the way, book your tickets in advance from the Internet because they have limited number of tickets per day for the Nasrid Palace. Or you have to be at ticket office at maximum 8 o'clock in the morning to be sure you will find a ticket for that day.
The positive is that stuff is trying to do their best and they are very friendly, but location is very poor in my opinion. That's why value of the hotel does not justify 66 EUR/night.

Dear customer, Our price for a double room for two people in peak season is 56 €, 5 € per person for the buffet breakfast + parking 13 euros, the normal price of public parking is 17-20 € / day. It is expensive for you? we are in the city center, the cathedral is a 10 minute walk from our hotel, the Alhambra is not in the city center, from the city center you need 15 minuts walking to arrive to Alhambra. Breakfast time in our hotel is from 07:30 to 10:30 Hours. Not begins at 07:00 hours when you wanted take breakfast without had given prior notice.

Ok, the hotel was good - VERY clean, comfortable beds, clean and renovated bathroom, decent breakfast, good location (fairly close to "downtown), etc. However, I was traveling with my 2y old and frankly, I didn't feel welcomed. No one was rude and they were very polite, but we were not allowed to bring the stroller into our rooms. For what I understood, it was a concern to not damage the floor, which I respectfully think it is ridiculous. That was annoying to me, but I can fairly imagine how truly inconvenient it would be for families with infants.

The internet also sucked. It didn't work at all the first day, and on the second, after complaining, I was on and off and I had to move to certain spots in the bedroom.

The price was very fair and the owner very polite and if I was single OR traveling alone with my husband OR with older children, I might consider this hotel again. Not with young children though.

The Hotel Reina Mora has been described by one reviewer as' A Gem'. Let me tell you now,it's definately not a gem. The photos give a completely false impression. We found it dark, depressing, charmless and overpriced. Our twin bedded ground floor room was tiny and 'gave on' to the street which meant that the ugly roller blind had to be continually closed to avoid people looking in from the street. The walls were paper thin. We could hear guests talking and moving around in the joining room which made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was in the window-less basement and was absolute chaos. With only one large table for about twelve, it meant the other ten guests had nowhere to sit. People were milling about making their on toast and perching where they could with coffee cups and and bowls of cerial. We gave up and went to a local cafe. The Hotel is difficult to find, situated on the finge of the City in a rather shabby grafitti covered side street. There is nothing of interest in this part of town and the stylish Centro and the beautiful 'Albaicin' is a good 15 minute walk. The Hotel Reina Mora was a mistakes we will not be making again. Forget about parking. Do yourself a big favour - if you have a car park it outside the centre and stay in one of the many great value and very beautiful small hotels in the fantastic old part of the City and simply enjoy exploring the small streets and lovely Plaza's on foot. The only plus points where the freindly and helpful reception and the general cleanliness of the rooms. If this place is a gem then Im a Dutchman. Avoid.

Room Tip: If you are mad enough to stay here book a room on the upper floor.

Dear sir. Sorry for your disappointment with our hotel. We do not publish photographs of our hotel FALSE, since you arrived was angry and upset, not knowing why. It's not fair to write false comments about our hotel. The facade of our hotel does not have graffiti, these totally confused, all our rooms have double windows are very confortables, and as for darkness, if cloudy weather does not logically enough light of day. As for breakfast, if you've been staying in hotels, you must know that at times this fully occupied the dining room, for I reported in a coffee, and wait about 15 minutes until space is available for breakfast, but you do not you want to wait, and ask us to leave your car in the parking lot until 16:00 hrs. - , we inform you that one day you will pay more for parking, because parking is up to 12:30 PM. - (as hotels in the world) and not rented hourly parking and you've paid, is why it gets so bad coment about our hotel? not fair sir, I think we should be more honest and more prudent and not try to hurt the publicity of our hotel. I think the comments customers used to be constructive to further improve our services and provide a good quality. We have a certificate of excellence from Tripadvisor, thanks to feedback from our customers, we accept all criticism of our customers to improve and enhance our services, we do not accept is to despise our facility and make remarks useless because you paid € 13 for parking place. Good luck.

I stayed as a single traveller.at Hotel Reina Mora during the "semana santa" last April . I found it extremely comfortable. The hotel owner and the lady at the desk were very welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was very clean and pleasant. I also enjoyed the breakfast and sitting at a large dining room table gave me the opportunity to exchange conversation with other guests and practice my poor "Spanish". All in all it met my expectations and if I have the opportunity of visiting Grenada again, I would again make reservation at this hotel. A word of advice - hotel price during semana santa is higher. Furthermore, the cathedral, some restaurants and shops were closed to visitors on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Not a time to go unless you wish to watch the Holy Week processions. Very friendly atmosphere - upon arriving the host gave us a full presentation of Granada re. where to go/eat etc. Excellent beds. Very clean and beautiful Italian interior design. In a walking distance to everything but a bit hidden away so no noise in the evenings.Breakfast was modest, however fair considering the cheap price (only 5 €) Super nice rooms for decent prices. If I ever where to go back to beautiful Granada I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We had the room with terrasse which is very recommendable as it is perfect for sharing a cold glass...
