My husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights in May, 2008.
We did not find the location ideal and did not like the surrounding area.
Next time we would stay closer to the Alhambra.
Most of the hotel staff had extremly limited English.
The outdoor seating for the hotel restaurant is located in the internal courtyard that the bedrooms overlook. Despite wearing earplugs and the bedroom windows having shutters the noise from the patrons and staff when the restaurant closed kept us awake well into the early hours of the morning. As the restaurant staff noisely cleared away crockery and cutlery and moved tables and chairs they constanly spoke amongst themselves. When staff had finished in the courtyard they moved to the kitchen where the loud talking and the banging of kitchen implements continued and kept us awake. There was no effort made to reduce the noise from clearing and cleaning up or to keep their voices down to ensure the comfort of their hotel guests.
We bought the continental breakfast, for around AUS$30.00 for two, on our first morning and found it absolutely terrible for choice, taste and value.
If you can sleep through extended periods of extreme noise then the bedrooms and bathrooms are very well appointed, spacious and clean with large comfortable beds.
The shower pressure was very good and the hot water always hot.
To avoid disappoint I recommend you book your Alhambra tickets, on the internet, well in advance of your visit.
