We are two "older" ladies who visited Granada for 2 nights midweek. We felt that everything about the hotel was above average. The location was great, the staff friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom was especially good. If we could find any fault it would be that there could have been more choice for breakfast and, surrounded by orange trees, it would have been good to have had freshly squeezed juice for breakfast instead of the boxed variety.
Overall we were more than satisfied.

We just got back from our wedding annivesary trip to Granada. It is a lovely city with lots to see and do.

The hotel was in an excellent location - close to the Alhambra and lots of great cafes and restaurants. The room was clean and the bathroon was excellent.

I am not sure if the people who wrote the reviews wrote them before the hotel started having a restaurant inside but there was only one reference to the terrible insulation and noise that really lets the hotel down. Our first day in the hotel we tried to take a nap in the afternoon because we had taken an overnight flight. It was so noisy from the restaurant that we couldn't. We were on the third floor so it wasn't even as though we were directly above the restaurant (which is on the ground) but we could hear all the people talking and laughing as though they were in our room. And then once the restaurant closed we could hear all the plates being washing and stacked and even the knives and forks being put away. It was unbelievable. We didn't mind too much since we figured it was only noisy like that during the day. Not to be. We came home way after midnight but we could hear everything that went on in the hotel - the staff yelling to each other downstairs, the person watching television somewhere in the hotel, everytime a door shut anywhere, and then someone having a shower the next morning. I barely slept.

We only stayed one night and would have moved if we were booked in for two nights. Such a shame as could be a lovely hotel but for the price (which isn't cheap) this sort of noise is unacceptable.

The reception staff were really friendly and pleasant and even let us in the room on arrival at 9:30am, several hours earlier than the official time the room is available.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of tapa-land and just a stone's throw from Plaza Nueva and the cathedral. Drivers might have trouble finding the hotel and navigating the narrow streets, especially if they are unfamiliar with the area. The hotel has no parking facilities, but there are car parks within a 10 minute walk. Unfortunately the cost is 20€ per 24 hours, but this is unavoidable.

Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with an ornate carved wooden ceiling. The bed was very comfortable and there was a small fridge in the room. You can ask for a minibar service or just use it to store your drinks as we did. The room was serviced daily and plenty of toiletries were provided.

The bathroom was very nice with ornate mosaic tiles and a large shower enclosure. I never seem to have much luck with those posh hydro-massage showers and this one was no exception with unlabelled, slippery controls that were impossible to operate with wet hands!

Communal areas include pleasant outdoor balconies/walkways, a lobby with seating and an impressive stained glass window, a restaurant/cafe and a pretty internal courtyard.

At 5€ per person the breakfats wasn't anything special as there are plenty of eateries nearby that offer better deals. It was nice to sit in the peaceful patio though.

Overall, at only 50€ + IVA per night I thought this hotel was stunning in terms of value.

  • Liked — Excellent location in the heart of old Granada (and the the huge array tapas bars right on the doorstep!). Beuutifully decorated room with real attention to detail.
  • Disliked — I would have preferred a bath to a shower, but that's just a matter of personal taste.

My family stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Both of our rooms were awesome with balconies that looked out onto the street which were great for people watching but light sleepers may want rooms w/balconies that face the courtyard since it can get really noisy on the street. It has a great location right across the street from the Albayzin and a few blocks from the Cathedral. Fantastic restaurants all around the hotel. We were there for a academic conference at the university and the hotel staff helped us with lots of conference related issues as well as our own tourist snafus including opening the breakfast early so we could grab a bite before heading out on our very early tours. I would most definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone.

  • Liked — everything! architecture, location, staff, spacious layout
  • Disliked — can hear street noise

This is a darling little hotel. It is beautiful, new, very well appointed, lovely and extremely clean. It is a GREAT value too! We loved all the attention to the details, such as the Moorish-style molding on the walls - - and what a grand bathroom! The shower had 19 showerheads! The anemities were excellent also. On this trip, I stayed in a total of 9 hotels over a period of a month in Europe - some hotels as expensive as 320 Euros per night. This one was the best!
