I think we must have stayed in the wrong hotel!
I chose this hotel after reading TA reviews and so was really disappointed with our experience.
Directions to the hotel are from Malaga only and so when we got lost in central Granada I rang for some directions and I was told that the directions would only work if I went back to the Malaga motorway. Well since we'd come in from Seville this wasn't really an option! The only other help offered was to abandon our car in Granada and get a taxi to the hotel. We were determined to find the hotel and eventually- after 1 hour or so we did. The hotel is located in the tiny, ancient Albacyin area. The hotel staff could easily have directed us there and we then could have followed the last of their printed directions.
So we arrived late at night and were then presented with "a timetable" and various rules- if we wanted to take breakfast in the morning we must tell then the night before. Not only had `I requested breakfast in my booking but before I went to bed I told the member of staff that we would want breakfast. The next morning the 4 of us walked into the tiny breakfast room that had 2 of the 6 tables occupied and the rest empty. The next minute my "friend" from the night before came into the room brandishing his copy of our booking form and said "I told you, if you wanted breakfast today you had to tell me last night." I was horrified at this man's attitude and reminded him that I had asked for breakfast. We sat down and he disappeared.
The lady replenishing the breakfast goodies was by far the nicest member of staff in the hotel. The breakfast was very good too.
And so to our rooms. We had 2 interconnecting rooms on the ground floor. They were spacious and obviously it was nice to be connected to our kids. But the rooms were dingy, dark and smelt musty. The only natural light was from the internal courtyard. It was like being in a cave. There were no external windows. The bathrooms had no natural light and were very basic.
The pluses - on the bus route into town and very near a lovely little square. But stay here again - Never!
Just for the record - the member of staff did apologise later for "the mistake."

I recently stayed here for a weekend trip to Granada with my boyfriend. I was initially wary because it only had a few reviews, but this hotel more than exceeded all of my expectations. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated moorish home right in the heart of Albaicin. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms were very clean and cozy. It's a 5 minute walk to San Nicolas, which is where locals and tourists seem to gather for the the perfect view of the Alhambra at sunset. The city center (Plaza Nueva) is about a 15 minute walk down hill, but the bus stop right outside of the hotel will also take you anywhere in the city, Alhambra included. If you like to wander on foot, like my boyfriend and me, you'll happen upon lots of little plazas with local people and restaurants. It was at a neighborhood gorcery stand, where we met a man who pointed us to all the major sites in Granada. I had a fantastic weekend and cannot rave enough about this hotel!

We stayed here for five nights in April and echo other comments on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the beautifully furnished rooms and spacious bathrooms. During the day it was easy to get around thanks to the bus service that stopped outside the door and at night there is a great selection of restaurants to chose from close by. All in all a great little hotel and we would definitely return there. Also a mention for their almost unique website which allows you to see the rooms before booking them.

My family stayed at the lovely Santa Isabel la Real for a two-night visit in Granada. I didn't find many reviews about the hotel when I booked it, though the few reviews did rave about it. The hotel turned out to be a great place to stay. It's in a converted mansion in the Moorish quarters (Albayzin), overlooking the Alhambra and the historic downtown of Granada. The frequent minibuses that take tourists to all the major sites stop right by the hotel, making it easy to get anywhere. You can walk to the famous St. Nicholas view point in a few minutes--the sight of the Alhambra lit up in a reddish glow at sunset was a magical moment for us. I highly recommend Casa Torcuato on Calle Aqua 20 nearby for a great and affordable dinner. The hotel staffer were friendly and very helpful. The good-size rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms spacious. The living room has tons of good reading materials and a laptop for Internet addicts. We would stay there again.

What a wonderful Inn we stayed at in Granada. I was traveling with my Mother and we found this inn on Trip Advisor. The Service was TOP NOTCH. They have 24 hour desk service, free computer with internet in the lobby for anyone to use, and will answer any questions and or help you to book reservations. The Inn offers Breakfast for a fee if you want a Continental Breakfast. The location is in the Old part of town, looking directly across at the Alhambra. There are many amazing restaurants in a very short walking distance, and great Flamenco , 15 minute walk. I hope to return to this wonderful Inn.
