“The Best and hard to get to by car!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2014

This is a wonderful hotel - once you get there. Located on the high end of a one way street in one of the oldest - best -neighborhoods of Granada. Driving is challenging in this area - see Google Map. Pay attention to the one-way street route and directions given by the hotel.

A great find, friendly staff that speak English. Room perfect, clean and comfortable. A great Granada experience!

Room Tip: Breakfast and excellent selection - local and fresh! our room - 3rd floor - quiet and very comforta...

We spent the first night of our holiday to Southern Spain at the Santa Isabel La Real and it put us into the spirit of old Granada immediately. Typically Andalucian in style with friendly staff, comfortable beds and a good breakfast.

This really is a charming inn with an enclosed, tiled courtyard. I took a cab from the train station - up the hill, through the winding, narrow streets to the inn. I stayed 2 nights in room 11, with a view of the Alhambra. The room was quite large, with casual furnishings and a comfy bed. The bathroom was narrow, but adequate.

The selections at breakfast each morning were very abundant - all of the standard European offerings: yogurt, cheeses, cold meats, hard-boiled eggs, pastries, fruits, etc. More than enough to satisfy anyone. The coffee was delicious.

I did find the inn to be a little inconvenient in terms of location. There are a few restaurants nearby, but they don't open until 8:30 or so. If you want to eat earlier, you have to go down the hill into the center of town. The mini-bus stops right outside the hotel door, costs about 1EUR and couldn't be more convenient to the center…about a 5-minute ride to the cathedral.

This is a very lovely place, but because I was traveling solo I would probably stay in the center next time. On the other hand, this would be a fun place to stay if you were a couple or a group of friends.

Room Tip: Room 11 is a large room with a view of the Alhambra.

A nice hotel with a good breakfast and VERY helpful reception staff. We arrived on New Year's Eve and the receptionist spent half an hour on the phone finding us a a restaurant. She succeed - Michelin recommended.

Room Tip: The luxury room was very good

Booked a room from home incl. Locked parking place. Communication with hotel was fast and precise. At the hotel everything was also nice and positive: clean room, beautiful small patio inside the hotel. Breakfast was variated... something for everyone. The atmosphere at the hotel was quiet despite there were both young people and families there.
It Was perfect.

Great hotel, wonderful location just a few metres from stunning viewpoint over the Alhambra. Lovely rooms, comfy bed, excellent bathroom with good toiletries. The rooms are all set round a central courtyard and the noise of people coming and going was a bit annoying- the next room to ours seemed to take ages to work out the key and then the latch on the old wooden door! Almost got out of bed to do it for them!! Nice breakfast. Really helpful friendly staff. Parking easy- narrow cobbled streets a challenge for a large car. Overall a super little hotel.

This is a lovely little hotel up in the Albayzin area. It is an easy walk down and up to Plaza Neuvo, but if you are not of at least average fitness the climb might not appeal, it is on the 31 minibus line though. The stunning Mirador San Nicolas for viewing the Alhambra is just 100m up the street! The hotel rooms are set around a central courtyard, and our room was a tad dark because we had no external window. The walls are white with dark wooden, vaulted ceilings. All furnishings were first class, although the TV was small (but who cares about that anyway). Bathroom was well appointed and everything worked well. Breakfast was tasty, fresh and varied. There is also a nice lounge area for relaxing in ( but lack of tean and coffee facilities after hours is a slight negative). The thing that impressed us most about this hotel was the staff. All were cheerful and really helpful, especially Elena who helped us greatly with onward bus and ferry bookings when we failed to conquer some Spanish websites. The hotel even pre organised our Alhambra tickets ( which it really is best to book ahead of time). Stay here if you want a great, service oriented hotel away from the crowded Plaza Neuvo area. One of he best little hotels we have stayed in
