I have stayed in countless hotels over the years, but the Carmen is one apart. As mentioned in other posts, it consists of seven gorgeous rooms. My wife and I stayed in the Torre, which from my understanding is the largest and has a fantastic patio where you can watch the sunset over Granada while at the same time taking in the snow capped Sierra Nevadas.
The owner aka Jefe, Manuel, took wonderful care of us. In addition, he takes great care of his property and the grounds are pristine, with the scents of orange trees and flowers completing the experience.
Quick notes - if arriving by car, look for the Alhambra Palace Hotel, the Carmen is not far; great breakfast on the patio; 10 minute walk to the Alhambra; surprisingly good restaurant by the ticket office at the Alhambra (El Mimbre) - thanks to Manuel for the tip; Carmen has all the feel of staying in someone's beautiful home while at the same time being completely taken care of
