Really lovely small hotel: excellent position for all that Granada offers, on the main route into the Albaicin (Carrer del Darro), facing the walls of the Alhambra. Very pleasant and helpful staff, extremely accommodating for a tourist town like Granada. Lovely breakfast, including fresh orange juice and great coffee. Style and feel very refreshing and cool, not at all cloying like many "small and charming" type places. Access easiest on foot or by taxi. Had a room looking forwards onto Carrer del Darro and the river and base of the Alhambra hill, wonderful geese for company in the river below. Stayed during Semana Santa, so all the parades that pass down from Albaicin (and go back) can be seen from your room...with brass bands and mournful drummers providing entertainment at 3am. But then isn't that why you would come to Granada during Semana Santa? Access during Semana Santa is difficult once the parades get going after 5pm or so...arrive early. Also, Alhambra entry now controlled with a per day maximum...don't get caught out and book ahead (weeks ahead for Semana Santa) on their website. This hotel is really lovely and especially so for a tourist town like Granada. Excellent: good Spanish hotels really beat most comers for style.
