This property is in the center of the center of the old town Granada. It is next to the Cathedral, Plaza Bib Rambla and plenty of fine restaurants.

The rooms are clean, decorated with great taste and aesthetics but are somewhat compact. The AC is cold -- a rarity in Spain. Finally the service is incredibly personal and friendly. What an awesome combo.

There are only 2 drawbacks-- You have to walk about 1-2 blocks and even cabs don't come right there plus they get lost trying to find this place. Just get off at Plaza Trinidad and walk a block to the hotel. The hotel offers only a cold breakfast -- no hot items.

If you can live with these 2 drawbacks, this is the cutest little hotel

We have just had a wonderful stay at the Casa de Federico. On arrival the Hotel would appear to be in a bit of a dodgy area, walking down a narrow graffit covered street, but do not be put off. The location of the hotel could not be better, you are so close to the hub of the city, there is always someone walking around even after midnight and the area is well lit, we felt safe at all times. The room we had was small but 'unique' the only downside that I would comment on is there is no wardrobe - so if you are staying a while hanging space is limited. The bathroom was huge and nicely furnished (massive mirrors!) but no shower curtain and an overbath shower (?) so wet floors were order of the day, okay in summer as they dry out quickly but maybe in the winter it might pose a bit of a problem. Overall though the location and individual style make it a great place to stay and I look forward to returning.

well placed hotel in central granada. Individual arty rooms with a moorish style. The roof terrace was good to sit and have beer in the late afternoon - not much shade in the middle of the day. We didn't buy breakfast at the hotel preferring to go to the local cafes. Helpful reception staff (most speak good English) - happy to recommend restaurants and things to do.

  • Liked — querky rooms
  • Disliked — we were near the metal steps that lead to the top terrace - could hear people using them late at night

Beautiful hotel! Ask for an outward facing room though!

I was going away with three guys (one couple and one single) - they all had their own ideas about what we'd do so I decided I'd pick where we stayed. And how impressed were we!

I somehow ended up with the inward facing room (I reviewed the ad Hoc Monumental Hotel in Valencia and HATED the gloomy inward facing room there!) which was okay here - but the boys had two rooms facing the really quaint tiny cobbled street - floor to ceiling "patio" doors and flooded with light. One said he had ants or something in his bathroom, which he said the staff said they'd sort out but didn't. The bathrooms the boys had were a good size - mine was on the small side - just big enough for loo, basin and small shower cubicle. The street is so narrow they didn't get cars ploughing up and down all night and it felt safe for me to walk home on my own when the boys went on to another late bar one night.

Very tastefully furnished, very Moorish! A good location and an easy walk from the bus stop which you can get from the airport and save quite a few euros!

I'd stay in an outside room next time ... (they only had 2 available and I got the short straw when we went) ... would there be a next time - yes absolutely!

We stayed three nights in this stylish hotel near the Cathedral in Granada. It was beautifully decorated throughout, although the rooms were quite small. We stayed in two rooms - the first larger and on the street with a nice large bathroom and the second an interior room which was much smaller. The hotel also has a roof terrace with great views over Granada.

The hotel is in a good location, with lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby - in any event, Granada is not huge, so nothing is very far away.

The only problem we had was when I gashed my leg on some very trendy but very sharp furniture when getting up to go to the loo in the night - that will teach me to put the light on in unfamiliar rooms!

We didn't sample breakfast, preferring to head to a local cafe for coffee, juice and toast, which is usually very reasonable.

In all, a very pleasant place to stay.
