My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in May in a Junior Suite in the main palace. The room was quite spacious and it faced the courtyard. The decor is quite modern.I took the advice of some prior writers and thought it would be quiet. The courtyard actually opens up into the main street and our first night was a saturday night. People were out screaming until 7 AM! We figured the next night would be better (sunday night). The night was quiet but bus/moped traffice started around 6 AM. Needless to say, we did not get much rest here. Otherwise, the hotel was fantastic- the staff, amenities, location, etc. If you are a light sleeper, it may be a problem since you are in the center of the city. You could try to ask for their quietest room- I don't think facing the courtyard is the answer. We also arrived by car and had a heck of a time figuring out where to leave the car so the staff could park it for us- turns out we were supposed to park it illegally on the sidewalk and run inside. It's not a big hotel so no one is standing at the door waiting for guests. In fact, we drove buy at least twice not knowing that was the hotel.
We never used the restaurant. There were at least 3 places down the street where you could have coffee with bread/ham/cheese/juice.
