We spent three nights at this lovely hotel and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff were lovely and helpful for the most part, especially the young trainees. They upgraded us to a junior suite and we had a truly remarkable room in the old building -- the original library, a semi-circular room with gorgeous wood paneling and an amazing tile ceiling, and three giant sets of windows overlooking the garden. The bathroom was equally roomy, with separate tub and shower and a window next to the tub.
The only downside was that the hotel "advertises" a pool, which we originally thought was an outdoor swimming pool, but is really just a warm interior sitting pool in their spa. Not a way to cool off in the heat of Granada. Adding a pool would make this hotel truly perfect. We didn't find it noisy at all at night, and slept very well in the large and comfortable bed. Great linens.
This was the third hospes hotel we stayed in and all were wonderful in their own way, with Cordoba probably tops, followed by this one. I'd recommend the chain highly.
