I think this was the best hotel on our trip. The hotel location was fantastic. The staff was very helpful and all spoke english. The breakfast was amazing! The room was very large and comfortable. The ac does not work past october 1st...which was no good because it was really really warm while we were there. I would stay here anyways though...it was fantastic. It is very very easy to walk to the main shopping and eating areas in granada. The cathedral and Plaza Nueva were within a 5 minute walk

Arriving by car, we found the hotel with no problem and were lucky to get a parking space outside the front door! Very helpful reception staff at check-in, throughout our stay and at check-out. Car park under hotel. The lighting caught me out the first time as I spent a long time gathering stuff and the lights went out. It took me a couple of minutes in total darkness to realise there was a switch on every pillar!

Our room was clean and fully fitted - small charge for safe which was large enough to hold my SLR camera and lens. We looked out onto an inner courtyard, i.e. no view at all, but that meant it was very very quiet.

All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was reasonably comprehensive although in common with the hotels we stayed in in Seville and Cordoba, the hot food selection was not of good quality. The dining room staff worked hard to keep the plates full but sometimes couldn't quite keep up with the coach party groups but the wait was never more than a few minutes.

The restauarnt also serves a buffer dinner or an a la carte. We had a look at the buffet and given that my partner doesn't eat meat and eats only selected fish, we decided against and opted for restaurants in Granada each night. The Plaza Bib-Rambla has a wide range of restaurants and there are still more on adjacent streets/squares.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the main centre - the best places to eat, the catehedral and the buses to the Alhambra. We pre-booked teh Alhambra from home and had an early morning slot for the palaces so took a taxi (about 10 euro with generaous tip) - it's a fair walk and uphill so save yourself and you can walk back.

We chose the hotel both because of the good reviews here on TripAdvisor and its location which meant easy access by car as we used Granada as a base for visiting the Sierra Nevada.

Would I stay there again? Absolutely Yes. Would I recommend the hotel? Absolutely Yes. Should you really stay there? One consideration. If you don't need accessibility by car, you might want to be nearer the centre.

excellent location about 10 min walk from the cathedral but that means it is quiet and no disturbace from traffic or people at night.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable and next to the hotel a local cafe for breakfasts or tea .just up the road a great tapas bar-very good value, much better than the city centre.
I would go back to this hotel, the staff were really helpful.

We booked two nights (Booking.com) based on excelent reviews at TripAdvisor.
Just returned from there and have only good things to say. Very good location (10 min walk to the cathedral area, the centre of Granada), fine staff, good room and bathroom, fine airconditioning and plasma TV (although missing european channels other than spanish, one french, one english, one italian and one german), exceptional good value (60 euro per night, without breakfast).
If you leave your car on the street, please be sure not to leave anything in the car, as in Spain they have the nasty habit of breaking windows just to try to rob what they can (it happenned to me, the car was parked just in front of the hotel and someone broke the right window and forced the door, just to rob the GPS support... the only thing I had lefted there). And the police just don't care. They don't even come to your car location, nor wanted to see it, it seems they don't intend to try to find the robbers and I had to gave up the claim after waiting almost two hours at a police station waiting room...
Now, after having to interrupt the hollidays and having to travel many hundreds of Km without the window (very hot, as the air conditioning could not work properly, and also too windy), I still have to pay thousands of euros to repair the car...
And my insurance company tells me that they get claims like mine everyday, so be aware of robbers in Spain, specially if you drive a foreign plate car.

The photos posted so far closely match the hotel.
It was E25 by taxi from the airport to the hotel. We decided to hire a car AFTER visiting the city of Granada. We think this was best and was born out after the holiday. Parking is scarce and expensive, plus with street names high up on sides of buildings and one way streets, we thought it best to avoid.
The hotel is TOP NOTCH, clean and friendly with excellent speaking staff.
We didn't take breakfast within the hotel as we enjoyed tostados from the local bars etc. Of which the one 2 doors away was excellent and cheap.
The only minor thing that may cause a comment was we ordered a double and received 2 twins, however once pushed together, it became a super kingsize. Oh and the E8 charge for hiring a room safe. Whats that about?????
Our room was at the front of the hotel and on the 1st floor. Yes there was some noise from the street, but nothing to dampen the holiday. It is a city afterall.... 10 out of 10. Muy Bien, muchas Gracias.
