This hotel is in a street with a very steep incline which leads direct to the Alhambra. It is not possible to drive to it. We parked by arrangement in a central car park which the hotel offers at a discount rate and took a taxi when arriving.
We paid extra for a room with a view of the Cathedral on the top floor. The room was extremely modern, clean, bright and well equiped. It was one of the smallest rooms I have stayed in.
The hotel is a modern conversion of an old building with the original shell remaining. The staff speak english and are evry customer orientated. The briefing at Reception when we arrived was extremely informative about the hotel and the surrounding area They provide a five page information sheet giving a summary of recommended restaurants, cafes etc. in the area.
The Alhambra defies description. Do not walk up the street to it from the hotel unless you are young an fit. Taxis and buses are available (at the bottom of the street) as a preferred alternative. Use the personal audio smstem and be sure to go early. The hotel will pre-book tickets for you which is well worth doing.
The hotel is not cheap for a 3 star and the breakfast is relatively expensive.
On balance I believe it provides excellent value for money - particularly in view of the service provided by the staff. I would recommend it.
