Like many of other reviewers, we too, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff is friendly. The place was impeccably clean. This building is old on the outside but a very modern interior. Rooms are small but they make an efficient use of space as they have done through out the hotel. Get an upper room facing street if possible. Very convenient location too. We would have no hesitation about staying there again.

This hotel was quite a find, small, personal and very friendly. The staff are exceptionally helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. They are full of excellent advice for everything that you wish to do on your stay in Granada, from sightseeing and transport to the best restaurants in town. The Alhambra was without doubt the highlight of our holiday - the hotel will book your tickets in advance. The hotel also arranged to us to go to a flamenco show in the Caves of Sacramonte - quite an experience. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending this hotel - excellent staff, spotlessly clean rooms, free internet and free tea, coffee and soft drinks available from the breakfast room all day.

  • Liked — The helpful and friendly staff
  • Disliked — breakfast was a bit of a hit and miss affair.

This hotel is one of my favorites in Spain. It's situated right next to the Alhambra and only a couple blocks from the main shopping and restaurant areas.

Although the rooms were a little small, everything else about the hotel made up for that. The staff was extremely helpful (and bi-lingual), the rooms were very clean, and there's free internet access! Even if you didn't bring your laptop, they have two computers that you can use that have internet access.

There is no restaurant, and the continental breakfast provided is somewhat minimal. But it's proximity to very inexpensive cafes and restaurants makes up for this small lack.

Nice location, near Alhambra, top floor has good views. Good that they book Alhambra tickets in advance - saves a LONG wait!!
Staff nice, esp. Elena
Breakfasts mediocre, but relatively cheap
Rooms (we stayed in 2) cheap but clean, adn beds pretty good.
The problem was a bar diagonally opposite - open late and some noisy drinkers outside until v late, suggest you select top floor rooms only (though I could hear some noise from there) or rooms at the back!

This is a beautiful little hotel. A lovely Patio, internet lounge, sufficient rooms and great location. Everything about the hotel was lovely except the stentch in the room. It smelled like the room was full of perfume intended to cover up cigerette smoke. We kept the windows open all day to try and air it out, but when we turned on the heater at night, the air coming out of it was perfumed. We had to request extra blankets because we had to keep the windows open all night just to breath (it was below freezing outside)--it didn't work, we were up most of the night choking on the thick perfume of the room. We were exhausted the rest of the trip because of the trauma of that one, long night. The staff was apologetic but had no idea how to handle the situation. We're used to extreme conditions as we travel extensively to remote areas, sleeping in old youth hostels or even on straw matts in remote villages. I would have preferred a straw hut to the air in that room. It's a shame because everything else about our experience there was lovely. Perhaps it was a particular situation with our specific room, but until the hotel can figure out how to air the rooms out and leave the rooms unscented, I would not recommend.

  • Liked — Location
  • Disliked — stench
  • Tips/Secrets: — Check to see if they've fixed the perfume problem. If so, then this would be a good option
