Stayed here for four nights Oct 2006. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room small but adequate. Extremely helpful and friendly staff nothing seemed too much trouble. Free Internet access was great as was complimentary tea/coffee available all day from dining room. Small courtyard area just outside our room was lovely - you could sit out and read etc (very peaceful). The only mar to the whole holiday was getting my purse nicked as we were sightseeing on the Plaza Nueva not far from the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful contacting police etc. Luckily on the day of departure the police contacted hotel to say my purse had been found; we went to collect it and amazingly all bank cards, driviing licence etc were still inside! (Thieves had taken the cash and a small watch). Would definitely stay here again and hope to return to Granada some day hopefully when the intensive roadworks in the centre have been completed (the metro system currently under construction should make the roads in the centre less busy)

  • Liked — FRIENDLY STAFF, INTERNET ACCESS
  • Disliked — SMALL ROOMS
  • Tips/Secrets: — REQUEST QUIET ROOM, BACK OF HOTEL VERY PEACEFUL.

Absolutely perfect!
Great location. Extremely helpful staff with good English. Advised us to park on outskirts of Granada and take cab (and sent directions to parking lot). Also subsidized the parking. Walking distance to all major sites. Room small but clean. Bus to Alhambra within 100 meters (or can walk 1 km uphill).
Supplied maps and annotated them based on our requests and asked for suggestions for improvement as we departed.
Best hotel (of 8) on our recent trip to Spain.

  • Liked — The Service. Couldn't do enough for us.
  • Disliked — Nothing
  • Tips/Secrets: — They have free computers available with internet access.

Stayed here only for one night to visit the Alhambra. Our experience was fine but if we had needed to stay for more than one night, we would have chosen to get a better room. Our room was on the first floor, and had no window except for the skylight in the ceiling. At first we liked this, but at night, we weren't sure how to close it and heard a lot of noise outside. Good thing it wasn't raining and the weather still warm.
The staff was really friendly, spoke good english, and gave great advice on where to eat etc. They tried to steer us clear of the touristy places. We liked the free internet access too. The location was really great. Steps from the bus to the Alhambra and a few cute souvenier shops on the street as well. We enjoyed a couple of beers from the mini-bar (cheap for mini-bar standards) in the garden/terrace area, which was nice to wind down the day.
Overall, for the price we paid, 90 euro, we got what we expected, but would suggest like others here if you plan on spending more than one day, request a higher room with views, windows, etc.

  • Liked — The location, the staff, the free internet
  • Disliked — Our room had no windows, only a skylight
  • Tips/Secrets: — Request a room not on the first floor, enjoy a beer or two on the terrace from the mini-bar

Both my wife and myself can highly recommend this hotel from the moment we checked into reception we were made to feel very welcome. We were very fortunate to be allocated the star room 401 with beautiful uninterupted views of the Alhambra from our bedroom. The staff were superb and very attentative with advice and booking a flamenco show in the Sacromote district was not a problem for them given the short notice that we did. The room was very comfortable with all the nesessary accoutrements one should need. The location was second to none just up from the Plaza Nueva all within easy walking distance.

We both look forward to our next visit in January and will further be recommending this hotel to family and friends.

  • Liked — The view from our bedroom of the Alhambra Palace
  • Disliked — The smallness of the bathroom
  • Tips/Secrets: — Always request room 401

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist, who gave us a city map and maked it with walks and sights she thought we might find interesting from talking to us about our plans for our stay. When we lost the map only hours later she was more than happy to provide us with another, and was readily available to answer any future questions we had. The free internet was a nice touch too. The room itself was small, but adequate with a very powerful shower in the ensuite. The only slight complaint was that the bed spread felt very sticky, and not altoghether clean, but everything else seemed spotless. From this hotel we were able to walk the very steep hill to the Alhambra, but also had easy access to all other parts of the city. For value for money this hotel was excellent, and provided a very enjoyable stay.

  • Liked — The freindly staff and location
  • Disliked — The slightly sticky feel to the bed cover!
  • Tips/Secrets: — We asked for a double bed instead of twins, but it was tiny!!! Opt for twin beds instead
