Stayed here for one night in June. The best thing about the hotel is the excellent location, maybe half a mile walk from the Alhambra and a few minutes to the old town, which to all intents and purposes it`s part of.

I`d say it`s closer to a pension or maybe 1* hotel than a 3* which is how it describes itself but as long as you get a decent price and book it knowing that it shouldn`t be a problem.
The check -in and check-out were efficient. The receptionists friendly and helpful.

There is a lift to the various floors,a few rooms on each floor.

The room was small but not surprising in a hotel in the heart of Granada at this sort of price(about £60 on internet late rooms site)The room was clean.I asked for a double but we had twin beds, fairly common of course in Europe. There was a view to the Alhambra,or at least a small part of it(provided you stretched a bit!).

Shower room was small, one of the smallest I`ve ever seen but towels and toiletries were fine.

Room had AC and a room safe and a TV with 1 or 2 English speaking news channels if you were bothered to watch.

Breakfast isn`t included in the price but for about 7 Euros you can have a cold breakfast in the small basement room. The breakfast is fine and tea and coffee unlimited as is everything else since it`s buffet style.

There is no parking on site and the hotel suggest you park in a public car park about 30 mins walk away and either walk(not good when you first arrive but ok when you leave depending on the luggage you have) or get a taxi. The Taxi is about 8 Euros and the car park about 12 Euros for 24 hours and it`s cheaper to get your ticket stamped for the car park at the hotel and hand it in when you leave the car park.

There is no restaurant and no bar and not really any comfortable lounge areas. It is small everywhere in the hotel.Maybe they would call it cosy! Internet access is available and is free on the 1st floor.

Overall the hotel was fine at the price though factor in the extras like car park, taxi and breakfast.I`ve stayed in Granada before however and there are better hotels at a similar price in my opinion and for that reason I wouldn`t stay her again but if you`re booked already don`t worry,it`s fine and Granada is wonderful so enjoy!

I booked this hotel because of the good reviews on Tripdvisor. My partner and I were not disappointed, the hotel lived up to all the good reviews (like the great service at receiption and the position) and even to the bad ones. the only bad thing being the size of the room - it was very small as was the bathroom but we expected this from the reviews and as we spent our time out and about in beautiful Granada it didn't really matter too much although we did stay for 7 nights and a little more room would have been good. The staff at reception were absolutely wonderful and spoke English fluently. We came to depend on them for assistance because we found that in Granada (as in Madrid) not many people spoke English and there was also a decided lack of printed information for tourists. Even the tourist office were very unhelpful, unlike the wonderful staff at this beautiful little hotel, the hotel actually had more printed information in English than the tourist office! As we had been travelling for 10 days or so and the weather was unexpectedly cold and wet our few warm clothes were desperately in need of a wash. When I asked for directions to the nearest laundromat I was told that the hotel would do the washing for us at no extra charge - amazing. Of course we left a tip for this service. Also one night we came back to our hotel after a particularly long cold and wet day to find a beautiful tray with on our bed with fresh fruit and and a bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses, but great things like that happen to Aussies when we travel because usually we are friendly and undemanding and undemanding. Our friendliness was returned 100 fold at Puerta de Las Grandas!

We arrived somewhat late at night but were welcomed and given a thorough briefing about the hotel, the area around, what to do etc. It is very well situated for the Alhambra and the main parts of town. Although the rooms are small, so is the price and do you really go to a town to stay in your hotel room? Check out was 12 noon and we were able to leave our bags there and also use the facilities before we left town. It really is a great hotel, one of the best and most welcoming we have stayed in.

We were only there for 2 nights, anymore and the room would have been too small. However, we were there to see the Alhambra and this hotel is right on it's door step. Close to restaurants, tapas bars etc but away from the noise as well. Would highly recommend for a quick weekend get away to see Alhambra. The receptionist spoke perfect English and had some great recommendations on where to eat.

Great location - just off the busy Plaza Neuva yet really quiet! Has good amenities - free coffee/tea all day and a nice sunny courtyard where you can bring your own food. Rooms, yes, they're small, but fine. Both receptionists spoke fluent English and were extremely helpful and friendly, really good. One helped us out when we were stuck getting a cab to the airport on our way back as the roads were shut for various Holy Week parades and she really went out of her way to help us. One tiny suggestion for improvement though - they should warn you, on checkout, about how long it takes to get a cab to the airport during Holy Week!!!
