Great little Hotel. Little being the operative word, the rooms are tiny, so small in fact , you have to stack your suitcases on top of each other , just inside the door. I haven't seen a room this small for a long time. The bathrooms were miniscule, especially for my 6' 4" husband. But that said it was a lovely place to stay, the staff are excellent and the position is great, just below the Alhambra . There was a wonderful terrace to have tea or coffee (served all day from the breakfast room) or a cool drink in the evening. The staff recommendations for dinner, tapas , etc were great. They also organised our tickets to the Alhambra which was a great help. The free internet access was also very welcome.

Excellent location, clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, easy to get to and from the airport.

Breakfast satisfactory, lots of stairs and small rooms if that bothers you. Not great for small children and bad knees.

Suits couples of all ages with good knees who like to be near to town centre and tourist spots.

Get the 32 bus to al hambra palace, and MUST book ticket in advance.

Ideal accommodation to nip up and see the Alhambra (it is quite a walk from the hotel UP to the Palace, but it is about as close as you will get). Note that if you book a ticket with the hotel, you have to go and collect it from the ticket office which is right the other end of the palace.

Just down the street from the hotel is the Plaza Nueva where there's sights, restaurants and bars. All easy going and no hassle.

I wouldn't want to stay here for any more than two nights as it is a small hotel. The rooms are small (no sofa - just ONE chair in room 102). There's no bar. There's no proper dining room (no meals apart from breakfast, which we skipped). No proper sitting area. You're here to sleep not relax. BUT there is a VERY nice outside area (see pictures) which I presume you could have breakfast in (if it wasn't raining, which it was!).

I felt so at home at the Puerta de las Granadas on this first visit to Granada. Like most Europe hotel rooms, the room and bath were small, but very modern and clean. I liked the windows; they can be tilted open without compromising security for better ventilation. Great public squares are within short walking distance. The terrace right outside the room was a lovely feature. Look up and you're looking straight up at the walls of the Alhambra. What a treat!

Even if I booked through another booking website, the hotel itself communicated with me via e-mail confirming every detail and making me feel welcome even before I arrived. I would definitely stay here again!

We chose the Hotel Puerta de Las Grandas because of its location and booked through Hotels.com. We got a direct e.mail response back from the hotel confirming the rooms and offering to help with Alhambra bookings etc. As a consequence missed lots of hastle and queues.
The hotel is brilliantly located, very clean and the staff were very helpful - it felt like a family run hotel.
We are a family of 5 and I would recommend to anyone. My wife loved lying in bed at night looking up at the flood-lit Alhambra - magical.
