Booked direct with hotel, got good deal and was also upgraded on arrival - a nice surprise.

Ideal location for visiting the Alhambra / Albacin and short walk from Centre just of Plaza Neuva.
Hotel was on a steep hill which may prove awkward for some.
Road is the main access to Alhambra Palace - but it is a cul-de-sac so no traffic. Takes about 15min to walk to Palace.

Lovely terrace area where you could take coffee (free) , didn't have breakfast in hotel was there were loads of places near.
Free internet access which was also great.
Hotel staff were extremely helpful and informative and also booked tickets for us.

A bit of general advise, if you are visiting Alhambra Palace mornings are better and also prebook on Internet it's a lot easier when collecting tickets.
DO NOT be late for your timed entry to the Nastrid Palace you will not be let in. Full tour took us about 5 1/2 hours, wear comfy shoes etc there is a LOT of walking

We enjoyed our stay in Puerta de las Granades very much. the room was very clean with a safety box, a TV with some english channels and a mini bar. they have an internet room with two computers. there is a restaurant that serves breakfast but we did not try it since it is more expensive than breakfast you can get in an outside cafe (and they are alot). However, there is coffee and tea available all the time for free in the restaurant.
The staff is very helpful and speak english.
Granada is a small town and still the hotel is situated in the heart of the town. it is situated on the up hill going to alhambra, which makes it very convenient and close when visiting it.
for 80 euros, that is an excellent deal. I would definitly stay in it again

This hotel is an absolute treasure. Location is perfect for visiting all the major attractions in Granada. Most importantly the service is excellent. From the moment of booking until the time of leaving, all the staff encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. Booking tickets for the Alhambra, giving directions and loads of general information - nothing was too much trouble. We would use this hotel again and again and recommend it highly. We would point out however, that the rooms are on the small side and rooms at the front can be noisy - this is Spain after all!

This hotel is in a street with a very steep incline which leads direct to the Alhambra. It is not possible to drive to it. We parked by arrangement in a central car park which the hotel offers at a discount rate and took a taxi when arriving.

We paid extra for a room with a view of the Cathedral on the top floor. The room was extremely modern, clean, bright and well equiped. It was one of the smallest rooms I have stayed in.

The hotel is a modern conversion of an old building with the original shell remaining. The staff speak english and are evry customer orientated. The briefing at Reception when we arrived was extremely informative about the hotel and the surrounding area They provide a five page information sheet giving a summary of recommended restaurants, cafes etc. in the area.

The Alhambra defies description. Do not walk up the street to it from the hotel unless you are young an fit. Taxis and buses are available (at the bottom of the street) as a preferred alternative. Use the personal audio smstem and be sure to go early. The hotel will pre-book tickets for you which is well worth doing.

The hotel is not cheap for a 3 star and the breakfast is relatively expensive.

On balance I believe it provides excellent value for money - particularly in view of the service provided by the staff. I would recommend it.

Well located, this hotel was a surprise. Very, very good hotel. For the price paid (72 euros) we got a great room, free internet access and great services and tips from the staff.
To access the hotel you have to walk up just a little in the street.
The plaza near the hotel is great to have brakfest, lunch or dinner.
