Just spent 2 nights at this hotel during a driving holiday through andalusia. The hotel is very conveniently located, a 10minute walk to the centre and the cathedral and not far from the alhambra, although we never walked to the alhambra as its all up hill and it was far too hot. We arranged a guided tour through the hotel which was excellent. You must visit the Alhmabra it is beautiful. The hotel was very comfortable and clean, staff were helpful and there was an excellent selection at breakfast (11euros extra). You have to pay extra for parking, it was 15euros a day but all in all i would def recommend this hotel. Also, we found a a buffet style restaurant while walking to the cathedral on our last night (Fress co) and it was all you can eat for 9.95 and the selection was amazing and it had to be some of the best food i have tasted, all so fresh def value for money.

Our room was clean, reasonably comfortable and quiet. Our bed was quite hard, but not too bed. Staff were very friendly with excellent English. Although we knew we booked only room, we were told that breakfast is automatically included. Only after double-checking, it was explained to us that breakfast is included in the sense that is costs extra 11 Euros each. Which we refused as you can have a lovely sandwich and coffee for about 5 Euros in many beautiful cafes around. The staff insisted on changing our towels although we left them hanging up and not in the bath tub as instructed if we wanted them changing...didn't make us feel good about the environment. Also, ask for a room facing the Alhambra, otherwise you end up with rather boring view over the modern parts of Granada.

The hotel was not as advertised on the net..and it stated we had breakfast included when in actual fact we didnt...the overall stay was good though...granada is so beautiful even in the blistering heat of 43 degrees...the alhambra is an absolute must....and st nicholas plaza if you get a chance in the albaycin(sorry about spelling) area of the city from there you can see the alhambra and there is a lovely little ice cream kiosco...the walk up isnt for the faint hearted though...well worth it..would prob look around elsewhere for a cheaper hotel....

We were dreading our stay at this hotel having read some of the reviews and nearly changed our whole trip - SO pleased we didn't! We stayed at this hotel for a whole 2 weeks and wouldn't have changed a thing!
The room was huge and kept immaculately clean with lovely big fluffy towels; very efficient air-conditioning and incredible views, we had a room on the 11th floor.
The hotel staff were polite, friendly and helpful at all times and generally spoke impeccable english but I do believe that if you prepare yourself with a little spanish it goes a long way when you're in spain!
We didn't actually eat in the hotel restaurant so can't comment on that but we did have room service on a couple of occasions and found it to be quick, good quality and very reasonable.
As for the hotel's position.... it is a little walk from places like Plaza Nueva but quite honestly its worth avoiding them. Its hyped up for tourists - over-priced and very average service. The Vincci is really close to some fantastic bars and restaurants that are used by the Spanish - a much better indicator. There is a 15 min walk to the cathedral etc but its pretty and flat and there are plenty of places on the way to sit and have a drink and very good tapas. Can particularly recommend the tapas at Bar Plaza in Plaza Universidad!
The hotel is also well served by public transport links, particularly buses, so getting around is straightforward and cheap, 1 euro for pretty much anywhere in the city.
All in all this is a great base for exploring Granada and next time we go back we'll definitely be staying there again.
