The stay at this hotel was our first 2 nigths of our Spain Travel. Those 2 days to Granada was very nice!

The hotel ambiance is nice. Very historic. The tea/coffee hours at each afternoon is a nice touch.

Also the location of the hotel is very good. We walked all around the city from this point. Just a 3-5 minutes walk from Plaza Nueva. The hotel also reserved our ticket for alhambra. Very practical!

The hotel also suggest to reserve at one good restaurant of the area one night for us (Cunini - seafood restaurant). But failed to comlete the reservation.... And the restaurant was finally full for the night. We leave the day after and was not able to eat at this restaurant and was very sad of this situation.... (We planned this dinner before to leave Canada for all the goods comments we got from website).

Staff is friendly

We was able to enter in our room earlier then the check-in time. But the bathroom floor was not so clean....

the matress could seems hard... but we sleeped very well at this hotel finally!

This hotel is just beside our hotel. We visited it and find lovely.... but also very expensive ; Casa de los Migueletes

The Casa del Capitel Nazari is a nice value!!, we recommand it.

  • Liked — the historic of the hotel, the ambiance, the charm
  • Disliked — the reservation not completed like promise for restaurant/ the dirty floor in our bathroom
  • Tips/Secrets: — tea/coffee time (from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.)

This hotel is very charming. Our rooms had large wooden shutters that opened to the central courtyard. Very neat and clean with a friendly, helpful staff. The location was wonderful, just off the Plaza Nueva. It provided wonderful convenience to the Alhambra and the center of Granada. My only criticisms are that the rooms that open to the courtyard (we had rooms 14 and 23), can be noisy. The sound travels up from below and you can hear people coming and going. I would stay here again but would request rooms that don't face the courtyard.

My wife and I are well-travelled and fit for our ages(60+). We do like a comfortable bed, somewhere to put our clothes and a bit of space. We got none of these in this hotel which is overpriced, probably because of its situation, a 20 minute gentle up-hill walk to the entrance to the Alhambra. But you don't have to stay in this area to get there as the Alhambra is well served by cheap public transport. Breakfast at the hotel looks impressive but is fairly tasteless and expensive (8 euros each). You can do better around the corner. Car parking costs 12 euros a day. The staff were friendly and helpful until we asked for another room - we had booked 3 months previously and were put in a pokey little room at the top left hand corner.Maybe the other rooms weren't any better - we never got to see one. All in all a disappointment - but then maybe after the wonderful hotel in Ubeda we were expecting too much.

We chose this hotel from TripAdvisor reviews. It's just what I love -- a small establishment that is right in the best site and reflects that site well. Inside was outside -- windows opened onto the indoors, yet the interior hallway was open to the outside. My husband, a Californian at heart, thought he was at home. I'm an Easterner with passion for anything medieval/renaissance, so this was like being right in a romance. The advice about parking the car in an underground lot and taking a taxi was very helpful. We walked around the ancient part of the city and even hiked up to the Alhambra. Hotel Casa del Capitel Nazari deserves its 3 star rating for the beauty of the place, the situation, the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff, and the big breakfast (later in our trip I came to appreciate a decent breakfast).
