“Better choose hostel.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2014

25e per night, localization - centre of town. sounds great but:
a) receptionist were unfriendly
b) they can not provide two vine glasses for request
c) they can not provide hairdryer for request
d) they can not provide any bowl for request
e) they can not provide iron for ironing for request

Generally if you need to stay just few hours in bed it's ok otherwise its really bad.

The hotel is basic and cheap so it's good for a budget stay. It is very central and you can walk to basically every place of interest, bar or restaurant in Granada.

Our room had a nice view to the gran via, the most important road artery in the city but it was quite nevertheless.

a great hostal with clean rooms. you can find good food and you go for shopping around the place where is the hostal. with my friends and I were staying there for one night and we didn't face any problem apart from the reception! she was very rude and she answered in one word on everything we asked! also you must pay extra for the breakfast and it is not good!

Situated right on the main Gran Via de Colon, this is a fantastic central location and an ideal base for the traveller on a budget. It’s a small and functional hotel, rather than a hostel where you'll spend time with other travellers, but it’s also practical and secure, and frankly you’ll only be resting up there after exploring fabulous Granada.

The Alhambra (book in advance) is about 30 minutes away on foot. It’s uphill and there are plenty of distractions on the way such as the historic cathedral on the opposite side of Gran Via de Colon. The streets around the cathedral are packed with restaurants and tapas bars that really come alive in the evenings.

Tucked away on Calle Mariana Pineda is the Corral del Carbon and next door is one of Granada’s oldest (and prettiest) inns, La Corrala Del Carbon. Since you’ve packed your walking shoes, the Albaicín is on the hill behind the hostel.

We booked a family room for four (two adults, two teens), with four beds out, there was not much floor space but the bathroom was pretty spacious.

The Atenas also has a small car park, which is reasonably priced, although there are others nearby which cost a few extra euros. The lockers in the lobby are an asset, where for two Euros a day you can pack away your valuables.

But, budget hostel or not, the reception staff really should cheer up.

I stayed in this hotel while I was on a tour. The hotel is very clean, air conditioning, close to the bus station. It is perfectly situated in Granada for walking everywhere. Shopping across the street and the city is full of history everywhere you walk.
No meals available however there are plenty of places to eat nearby. There is a cozy sitting room at the back of hotel. I found the staff to be quite friendly as well.
Once we walked around the city we realized how perfectly situated this hotel is. Great price as well.

This place is just barely average. Pros: good location, air conditioning, elevator, free wifi
Cons: small room, really small shower stall, unfriendly staff that gives one word answers and tells you to pay for your second night in the morning (so you can then be charged 15 Euros more because they are getting "full").
In a town full of hostels, there are much better places to stay.

We booked this for a 2 days stay and book parking aswell for 17 euros a day. We arrived just before 15. When we made the papers I asked for the parking. She told me that I had to wait till 16. So I had to find a parking spot in the meantime. Granada is a city with full of narrow streets and its easier to find a needle than a parkingspot in the city. Had to park illegal next to some bikes and waited till 16 before doing the parking. The parking is a hassld aswell. Small in a very narrow street with a lot of traffic. Only pluss here is its only 50m from the hostel and wellprotected.

As we were staying at the 5th floor we guessed that it wouldn't be so noisy from the outside. There is no noise from the city but from within. The wall are so thin that you can the neighbour take a dump, shower, do a conversation and etc. Very bad wallisolation. Sometimes my wife and I tought that some opened our door while its was our neighbours door instead (this concern due to our kids).
Also you got bring your own soap and toalettpaper.

If you can survive thin walls its a ok place. Great shower and beds. Tv included but we went on alot of walking.

The staff was ok. Did their job. Fine by me. Not asking more like smiles and such. Speaks good english aswell.

Only 20min hiking to the top of Alhambra. Staff told me it would be 40min. I'm no superathlet anymore and a bit chunky but only used 20min up and about 35min with 2 small kids of the age of 4 and 2 with my wife. In other terms very central hostel but it has its cons
