We loved Granada and this hotel was perfect for our stay. It was in easy walking distance Plaza Nueva and other city center attractions that we wanted. There are a number of very good cafes within minutes of the hotel.

The hotel staff were professional and helpful. We needed to change rooms and the staff transferred our luggage while we were out sight seeing with no problems. They were responsive to our needs. I also thought this hotel was a great value compared to rates at other hotels throughout Spain.

I liked the decor, the courtyard and the general ambience of the hotel. The room size was perfect and nicely decorated. I liked that we could open the windows for fresh air and to dry our clothes after washing them.

I highly recommend this hotel to travelers.

I cannot understand how this hotel was awarded a four star rating. There is no restaurant or bar only breakfast facilities and a fridge for drinks. The car parking is extremely hard to navigate around. We had booked in for three nights but only stayed one. very dissapointing to say the least. We also spent three hours trying to locate the hotel. It seems to be a very well hidden hotel in Granada.

This hotel was simply amazing in every way. The staff helpful, the room fantastic, the common areas nice, the location perfect.

HOTEL
------------
After being greeted and assisted politely by the staff, we got to our room and discovered that they had upgraded us at no charge since it was our "Luna de Miel" or Honeymoon. We got a King room with a view out to the plaza, which really had no action, but still is nice to have a view of. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were great. The furnishings were top quality. The construction (antiquated doors, thick walls, dual paned glass) was so nice. The bathroom was very roomy and had a big tub and light coming from the decorated glass that faces the interior of the hotel. Very romantic tub. The air conditioning was great. What more can I say? If the internet access didn't cost an arm and a leg, it would be 100% perfect.

LOCATION
----------------
The hotel was on a quiet plaza, but had a very good selection of nice eateries within a few buildings. Also only a couple blocks away from the Cathedral, and everything else. The area was very safe, and quiet, but still close to the action.

Overall, a fantastic place for every type of traveler.

The rooms were quite clean and nicely decorated, but a bit small. We did have a problem with our shower leaking some water, but we just fixed it with some towels. The staff was quite helpful - they directed us to some restaurants with flamenco dancing and helped us find the bus to the airport. Everyone we talked with at the desk spoke good English. The breakfast was pricey ($13 euros, with the price diminishing every day you ate there - ask at the front desk), but was good. We filled up at breakfast and then just had a snack in the afternoon to tide us over to dinner. The location was great as well. We walked everywhere, even to the Alhambra and the Albayzin neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Hesperia for 3 nights. The hotel is ok but not as nice as the Hesperia in Bilbao which I stayed in previously. If you're looking for some sleep in the morning, you won't get it here as it felt like sleeping in the corridor with the echo that carried from the corridors and lobby into the rooms as soon as people started moving at 6am. The lobby is nice but there is no cafe or bar service in the evening or during the day. I would recommend the location as it's very convenient but wouldn't rate it a 4 star hotel. More like a 3 star. Was expecting having stayed at the 4 star in Bilbao which is definitely much better.
