We stayed with my wife in this hotel for three days in December 2007. We found it at a good price when compared to other similar hotels. The hotel is very pleasant, good service, clean and a great place to rest after a hard day of touring the city. We think it is ideally located at a short walking distance from the cathedral, it is in a wonderful area of town that serves as a very good base for touring the rest of the city.

We absolutely loved the city of Granada and are thinking about going back, between the lovely streets, the churches, the food, the lively downtown, the flamenco music, the absolutely amazing Alhambra, and a dreamy atmosphere it is hard to describe, Granada has become our favorite spanish town. Don't make the mistake that many tourist do going to Granada only to visit the Alhambra, we stayed 3 days and later wished it had been a week.

When going back to Granada we will have this hotel at the top
of our list, it combines all that we need; helpful staff, perfect location, comfortable, decor and architecture that are pleasing and clearly belong in Granada without being excessively luxurious, and quite affordable.

This is a great hotel situated in an excellent location. It's a 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and Plaza Nueva where you can take a minibus to Alhambra.
We are a family of four with two teenagers so we got two adjoining rooms and they were immaculate and spacious. The rooms were decorated nicely and very comfortable. It also offered free wi-fi.
We found a great place to eat called Bodega Castaneda on Calle Almirecerous which is very close to Plaza Nueva. Great food, service price for wonderful atmosphere and Tapas.
We dd not eat breakfast there as the price was 12Euros per person and for four of us, we could walk to many Cafes and have fresh pastries and wonderful European coffee for total of 12 Euros.
We took a taxi from our train station to the hotel but it was a short ride. But when leaving we took an airport bus right across from the Cathedral to the airport.
We would not hesitate to stay here again!!!

I stayed here during my Andalusia roundtrip by train. The location of the hotel is not ideal for train travellers i.e. it is a bit too far to walk. But of course one can take a taxi from the station. Although the court yard is very nice, the music (muzak) played there constantly can be heard in the rooms. Also during siesta time. Fortunately it stops at about 11 pm. The rooms are decorated in a nice Spanish style. I had a room with a view to the street but there was not much noise during the night (and I am a light sleeper). The location is ideal for exploring the city.

Wonderful hotel, well-located. Beautiful courtyard lobby, with cozy, warm, and inviting rooms.

I found the rooms very attractive and well-appointed for such an affordable rate. They didn't seem "spartan" at all, as one reviewer thought.

This is a very good choice for a stay in Granada. It has a superb location, just at the back of the Plaza de Carmen, within easy reach of the Cathedral, the Plaza Nueva and all the main shopping areas of the city. You can catch the little Alhambra bus from nearby. It is also on the edge of the Realeja area, at the foot of the Alhambra, which is untouristy and full of good local restaurants and bars.

The hotel has been cleverly constructed from a group of adjoining buildings, with a magnificent galleried entrance area in the Andalucian style. It is tucked away in a quiet backstreet, but fits in very well and is somewhat Tardis-like - it's much bigger than it appears. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom nicely kitted out. Our corner room looked out over a couple of little alleyways, very atmospheric.

Breakfast is 12 euros (10 if you pre-pay on booking) and is well worth it, including proper Spanish stuff as well as the usual "continental" style food. By way of comparison, this is about half the cost of the breakfast served at a parador we also stayed in. Otherwise there are plenty of local cafes (try the Caffe Roma in the Plaza Bib-Rambla for superb coffee).

There are few other facilities here - although there is free internet access (supposedly wireless but we needed a cable supplied by the hotel). And there is a parking garage in the basement of the building - very useful indeed albeit a 15 euro daily charge. If you are driving, be sure to print the hotel map from the website: it is quite tricky to find, and one wrong turn may result in a 10-minute detour!

Very nice, helpful staff too.
