I stayed at Casa de los Migueletes for three nights the week after Easter. The staff was very courteous and helpful and reserved my tickets for the Alhambra and a flamenco show. The location is ideal - within the old Albaicin quarter and a short walk from Plaza Nueva where there are taxis, cafes, shops and buses to the Alhambra. The hotel itself is beautifully restored and I appreciated the workmanship and architecture. My room (#16) was charming, comfortable and clean. It was not the quietest place in the mornings due mostly to the drilling and construction work at the building next door to the hotel. But waking up early allowed me to enjoy the delicious breakfast in the cozy breakfast room downstairs.

I stayed at this hotel the last week of May for a night.

1. Had problems from the get go! The internet never worked, they seemed more interested in charging for it then get the connection working ( I needed the net for phone numbers and emails from friends meeting me there).

2.The key comes with a HEAVY ball and they insist that you leave the keys with them.

3. The receptionist told me right off the bat that there is no way i could get into the Al-hambhra without prior booking or standing in line at 6 am for the unbooked tickets. I went in there at noon and got to see the fort !

4. There are no instructions for the safety locker. I was too p---- to call them again for simple things.

5. There was no pressing iron in the room. ( call the receptionist again?) .

The room was clean but almost all hotels in Spain are clean by any standard so this place wasnt any special. I got a feeling that they were out to fleece the tourists unlike the other hotels i stayed in. I would recommend you stay at some other hotel. There are plenty of hotels there in central granada for half the price!

Lovely hotel but could be a little noisy at times as rooms built around a central coutyard which appeared to echo noise. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast good, continental style but plenty to eat.
Draw back, it is very pricey, with rooms offering a view of the Alhambra more expensive ,which is not necessary, especiallly when you consider that you only need to step out of the hotel for views anyway.
Location is central with only a short walk to one of the main Squares in Granada which has cafes, taxi rank and local buses to the Alhambra.
Cars cannot get to the main entrance so a short walk carrying suitcases seems inevitable
During my stay there did not seem to be any facilities available to make or purchase coffee or tea during the day or evening but you could buy a bottle of wine.
Overall a picturesque hotel but cost prohibitive except for a really special occasion.

This hotel is at an ideal location to explore the old city, and short uphill climb to the Alhambra. (The climb can be grueling on a hot day, so luckily the Alhambra bus stop is not far from the hotel as well.) The hotel is a carefully restored mansion; the rooms are beautiful and clean. The inner courtyard looks as if it could have been the set for Romeo and Juliet. The staff is extremely friendly. For a few Euros more you can have a delicious breakfast buffet. My favorite part of my stay was the complimentary Sherry served in the Bodega from 9-10 PM. We met some wonderful fellow travelers there, and enjoyed some lively conversation. The hotel appears to be in a safe section of town. If safety is a concern, you can feel at ease; the hotel doors are secured 24 hours a day, and you must be buzzed in by hotel staff. The only drawback to this hotel is that is was difficult to find by car. Do yourself a favor and park at the Puerto Real parking garage on Acera de Darro street and walk to the hotel from there. The hotel will reimburse you for a portion of the parking fee. I would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel; my only regret is that we didn't stay more than one night.

How often do you stay in a hotel and think' this has just about got everything right'? ( How often, when an airline wishes you a 'pleasant' flight do you wonder with Ambrose Bierce "Can such things be?"). Casa de los Migueletes is really beautiful and charming and wonderful all simultaneously. We had some itinerary problems because we had foolishly not understood that the pre-booked tickets for the Al-hambra required us to enter the Nasrid Palaces at the appointed time, rather than the Al-hambra as a whole - it's all in Spanish so beware, and you must now pre-book. We were denied entry having both travelled near 3000 kms from different places specifically to see it. We had to stay on for another day, altering all our tickets and reservations. Nightmare of sorts. Hotel sorted it all out effortlessly for us.

It really is a lovely hotel; I travel a lot and this one of the very, very best 'though not the cheapest. Our room was huge and beautiful - there's no point in having a view of the Al-hambra as it just outside the door and way, way above you. It is not like the Palais Jamais in Fez (the old Govenor's Palace) where the rooms with a view look down over the whole city. Enjoy the building for itself.

Breakfast is a bit minimalistic, if you take it. BUT it gives you the chance to stoke up seriously on fresh fruit - the restaurant cuisine of Grenada seems to be horrendously unhealthy and to my aging system slightly toxic. I have diffiulty digesting fried food after eleven pm.

But mostly thanks to the staff.
