What a great little place, we arrived in Granada on 5th Jan to find it was the Festival of the 3 Kings. The taxi from the airport had to drop of us outside the arch as all the roads were closed because of the procession taking place, so we had quite a walk with our luggage to the Plaza Nueva. I have to admit I was sceptical but when we got there the place and the staff were lovely. When we checked in the girl on reception spotted it was my husband's birthday 2 days later. On the morning of his birthday they came in almost as soon as we sat down to breakfast, wished him Happy Birthday and offered us Spanish Champagne to celebrate. Both girls on reception were extremely knowlegdeable and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean and nicely decorated with Molton Brown toiletries. My one complaint about our room was the noise. We were in room 3 which is right above the front door and whenever anyone went in or out we could hear the buzzer and the slamming of the door and also could hear loud voices coming from reception. If you are an early riser if wouldn't be such a problem but if you want to sleep past 8.00am forget it. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel couldn't be in a better location, there are lots of bars and restuarants just 2 minutes walk away and the shops are about 5 minutes. There are buses to the Alhambra from the Plaza Nueva and you can see it from there are well. The tourist info office is also on the Plaza. I would definately go back.
