This is a great small hotel, where we found the staff more than accomodating and helpful. Yes, finding the hotel is very difficult and can be very frustrating. Be prepared to haul your luggage up a small alley because taxis and cars can't go up there. But once there, it is a very comfortable retreat, in a great location. The beds, linens and toiletries are top notch. Having stayed at the Alhambra Palace on a previous trip, this was much, much better, in a city that is not known for good accomodations except for the parador. The staff was so helpful, that when I asked where I could find a doorknocker to purchase, rather than just giving me directions to various stores, the staff came up with three different door knockers that I could choose from. One I loved, and bought it without feeling obligated. Now that's helpful! Be sure to try the restaurant, Pilar del Tora, which was on their recomendation list. The food and atmosphere were amazing and it was a very short walk from the hotel. We loved the hotel, and would highly recommend it.

The rooms were fine, but the hotel was difficult to get to. With a rental car, finding the garage was not easy either. On top of everything, the attendant at the front desk couldn't believe we didn't have pre-purchased tickets for the Alhambra. Don't you think they could have said something at check-in when probably 75% or more of the guests are making the trip up the hill to see the palace. Just a friendly reminder is all you need.

These were just a few of the items that could help with customer service. The staff was not very accommodating.

We literally stumbled upon this hotel as we were looking for a place to stay an extra night in Granada, and it turned into our favorite hotel of our vacation. It's extremely charming and the owners were very helpful. They even had a free sherry tasting each night! The beds and bathroom were among the most comfortable we found in Spain. The location was also extrememly convenient and secure. My only caveat is we felt the breakfast (a cold buffet) was a little overpriced at 9.5 Euro - you would be better served by going to one of the many cafes down the street. Otherwise, we felt the value was great and we would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Granada.

This is a great small hotel in the heart of old Granada. We had one of the two rooms that have a view of the Alhambra Palace so ask for one of them when booking. It is a slightly smaller room, according to the staff, but it is well worth the view. The room is very clean, the furnishings are quite nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is within easy walking distance of most of the attractions. There's a wonderful courtyard to sit in and the hotel offers free sherry and snacks in the evenings. The breakfast is okay but nothing special and is included in the room price. The only caveat is that it is in the heart of the city and you will hear the bell tower chimes and dogs bark if the windows are open and you're a light sleeper. Our only regret is that we booked late and could stay only three of the five nights we were in Granada.
