We stayed here this Christmas for 2 nights at the recommendation of Casa Morsica, which was full. This hotel has the nicest and most helpful staff of anywhere I have ever stayed. They got us reservations for the Alhambra, including an evening trip on Christmas Eve and booked us at an excellent restaurant on Christmas Eve, La Botanico, just about the only place open. Even before we stayed we had 7 or 8 lengthy emails discussing all the issues involved in a Christmas stay and what would be open or not. The location is ideal, as it is in a very quiet part of town and some rooms overlook the Alhambra. Everything is within easy walking distance and you are in the heart of the historic district without cars. A 2 minute walk away brings you to the square where bus service runs constantly to the Alhambra and other locations. Granada is not that large so everything else is an easy walk- the Alhambra is a hike! You are also in the Arab area which is full of great restaurants and some streets feel like Marakesh. Our room was huge but cozy, with an amazing bathroom. It is also a converted colonial home and the renovation was done by the architect of Casa Morsica. We only had breakfast there once, which did not seem worth the expense, especially as there are excellent cafes nearby. The parking is actually easy and we walked our wheeled suitcases to the underground lot on the return as it is only a couple of blocks away (downhill.) However, we never found the Burger King, which is suppossed to be a landmark and we missed our initial turn as a result- it is actually easier to get to the lot than the directions describe. Our only regret is that we didn't stay in
Granda and at this hotel longer but we will definitely return.
