Hi, Stayed in Miguelettes for 4 nights. I work in a hotel myself and i can safely say the staff in this hotel were exceptionally experienced and absolutely nothing was a problem. Room was lovely, spotless, and breakfast was very good. It is a little bit disappointing that there is no bar, but it is so close to the square, and all the bars allow you to take out, so we had our drinks in the courtyard of hotel. Have absolutely no compaints re hotel. Just one small consideration, maybe some more tables and chairs in the courtyard. Would highly recomment this hotel.
Anyone considering a trip to Granada, DO NOT BOOK A FLAMENCO SHOW. It is a complete rip off.

  • Liked — it was completely spotless.
  • Disliked — the safe, we just could not work it.

After considering staying at the Parador in Granada, I found that it wasn't worth the expensive prices to stay away from the main town. I found Room Mate Migueletes and loved the location. It's tucked away from the main street but so close to the square it didn't matter. The regular rooms are a little small but the free internet is priceless. Every where else in Spain charged crazy prices for internet so I appreciate the complimentary connection.

We ended up getting upgraded both nights we stayed as there were some booking issues with our Alhambra view room. The desk agents were very friendly, spoke good English and were able to help us get information on taking the train to another city. I highly recommend them.

  • Liked — The great location
  • Disliked — Some beds were too low and a little uncomfortable

While planning our honeymoon we came across the Room Mate hotel chain and decided to stay in Migueletes while in Granada. The hotel's website photos looked amazing and we decided to treat ourselves to something slightly above our budget for our last few days in Spain.

The hotel is located on a street with no vehicle access, so we took a taxi from the train station to the end of Plaza Nueva (about 8 euros) and walked the remaining distance to the hotel. The hotel would have been difficult to find, but small yellow signs are posted that direct your way. The room we had was beautiful, but we found it slightly disappointing for the amount we paid. The decor felt incomplete and there was a noticeable stain on the bedspread that looked questionable and fairly fresh. We concluded that cleaning staff had not done a complete clean of the room and the bedspread had not been changed from the previous guest. A little gross, but we worked it out. Having said that, the hotel was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent, the buffet breakfast was good, and the location was wonderful.

Although we did not have a bad experience, we would not likely stay here again if we were to return to Granada. We did not find good value for our money, especially compared to any of the other places we stayed at in Spain.

Tucked in the narrow cobbled streets of Granada, almost at the foot of the Alhambra, this is a beautiful and authentic hotel.

The breakfast is fantastic and fresh, and runs until midday which is great. There is good access to the internet and printer which is very useful.

However, we stayed in a room on the top floor and it really did feel like we were sharing our room with the guests to our left and right. Part of staying in a beautiful old building is accepting the lesser degree of sound insulation, but this was excessively noisy - we could easily hear the conversations, televisions, bathroom visits and entertainment of those around us... as if they were happening in our room. This was at all hours, well after midnight and well before 7am, impacting on our stay appreciably. I don't think that this is as much of a problem in the lower rooms so would recommend requesting a room that isn't top floor.

The staff were pleasant and, aside for the interruptions from other guests, it was an enjoyable stay. I'm not sure I would return, however, absent a guarantee of a quieter room.

stayed here for a long weekend the hotel is in a great place tucked away in the centre of the old town offering a peacefull haven within easy access to the old town, the staff offered a very freindly and informative service when needed, the hotel has been renovated to an excellent standard and fits in well to its surroundings yes the rooms are slightly on the small side as our the bathrooms but this just fits in with the character of the rest of the hotel.
visited the arabic baths which were very good and of course the alhambra which was stunning, also very close to the hotel there are some fantastiv tapas bars and restaurants worth sampling.
all in all we really enjoyed our stay here but thought a weekend in granada itself was long enough would thoroughly recommend
