Tucked in the narrow cobbled streets of Granada, almost at the foot of the Alhambra, this is a beautiful and authentic hotel.

The breakfast is fantastic and fresh, and runs until midday which is great. There is good access to the internet and printer which is very useful.

However, we stayed in a room on the top floor and it really did feel like we were sharing our room with the guests to our left and right. Part of staying in a beautiful old building is accepting the lesser degree of sound insulation, but this was excessively noisy - we could easily hear the conversations, televisions, bathroom visits and entertainment of those around us... as if they were happening in our room. This was at all hours, well after midnight and well before 7am, impacting on our stay appreciably. I don't think that this is as much of a problem in the lower rooms so would recommend requesting a room that isn't top floor.

The staff were pleasant and, aside for the interruptions from other guests, it was an enjoyable stay. I'm not sure I would return, however, absent a guarantee of a quieter room.

stayed here for a long weekend the hotel is in a great place tucked away in the centre of the old town offering a peacefull haven within easy access to the old town, the staff offered a very freindly and informative service when needed, the hotel has been renovated to an excellent standard and fits in well to its surroundings yes the rooms are slightly on the small side as our the bathrooms but this just fits in with the character of the rest of the hotel.
visited the arabic baths which were very good and of course the alhambra which was stunning, also very close to the hotel there are some fantastiv tapas bars and restaurants worth sampling.
all in all we really enjoyed our stay here but thought a weekend in granada itself was long enough would thoroughly recommend

This is a great hotel. Tucked away in a quiet street off of the Plaza Nueva it’s a little haven of peace with full access to the city’s activities. The room was simple, the beds aren't great, but the hotel has a comfortable living room with a public computer, and a lovely courtyard typical of the regional architecture. Perhaps the hotel’s best asset, however, is the receptionist (I believe her name is Paola). She was friendly and helpful, and did all she could to help weary travelers have as comfortable a stay as possible (made calls for us, clearly explained directions, etc.).

Note – if you drive and park in the recommended garage, prepare yourself for one of the worst parking garage experiences of your life. The spaces are really tight – we were not the only ones who tried to fit into several different spaces. Ultimately, we parked, and the cab ride to the hotel was short. Overnight parking in the garage, with the hotel discount (pay at the hotel and they give you a voucher), costs about 15 euros.

This is a beautiful hotel, tucked away behind Plaza Nueva and only 20 minutes from the Alhambra. A converted 17th century garrison, it has been refurbished with style and simplicity. The hotel was lovely and cool during the heat of August and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spotless and came with a mini-bar and the breakfast was very good. The only down point would be that the room was quite dark, but then this helped to keep it cool, so I suppose you can't have everything. Most rooms looked into the courtyard, so you couldn't open your curtains otherwise people walking past could see in. I would recommend getting a room with an outward view. Even so, I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
