Tucked in the narrow cobbled streets of Granada, almost at the foot of the Alhambra, this is a beautiful and authentic hotel.
The breakfast is fantastic and fresh, and runs until midday which is great. There is good access to the internet and printer which is very useful.
However, we stayed in a room on the top floor and it really did feel like we were sharing our room with the guests to our left and right. Part of staying in a beautiful old building is accepting the lesser degree of sound insulation, but this was excessively noisy - we could easily hear the conversations, televisions, bathroom visits and entertainment of those around us... as if they were happening in our room. This was at all hours, well after midnight and well before 7am, impacting on our stay appreciably. I don't think that this is as much of a problem in the lower rooms so would recommend requesting a room that isn't top floor.
The staff were pleasant and, aside for the interruptions from other guests, it was an enjoyable stay. I'm not sure I would return, however, absent a guarantee of a quieter room.
