I booked this hotel based on good reviews on this site, and was not disappointed. It's the only one of the Room Mate chain of hotels I stayed in, but if this one is representative of the group, I'd certainly stay in more in the future. When using their website, I didn't like the way each hotel in the chain has a "persona" (this one being Migueletes, another being Mario, and so on...); I wondered how this would manifest in the actual hotel & its staff. Needn't have worried! From the outset, the staff are relaxed, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. The driving directions on their website are good, and they paid for the taxi from the parking station to the hotel. The location is not on a road (it's on a laneway), so once out of the taxi, you'll need to carry your bags about 50 metres (rough guess). We had two rooms (one twin, one double) and both were upgraded to Alhambra views without our requesting it, which was great. Breakfast was included, and was very good.

We loved this hotel! The rooms are beautiful and are the size you should expect when traveling in Europe. The bathrooms were well-appointed and ours was actually quite large. The free breakfast each morning was always fresh and delicious. The location was perfect - very close to a taxi stand and the Alhambra bus stops very near by. We found that the staff was extremely helpful - I got food poisoning and the staff members brought me free drinks and offered to help in any way. The interior was lovely but could be a bit loud. The other guests were respectful about clearning out of common areas at night so that others were not disturbed. We stayed in 3 different hotels during our trip to Spain and this one was the best!

We booked this hotel because of everyone's reviews we had read, and I have to say was very disappointed! We stayed here two nights, and it was our LEAST favorite of our 6 hotels in Spain.
The rooms were very small in size, no view, the bathroom was even smaller! We had problems with our safe not working, our TV only worked half the time, and the water smelled like rotten eggs. The breakfast was fair. We asked for a wake up call and did not recieve it! They apologized but I still could not believe it, I am just glad we didn't miss our flight! The hotel is very charming but I felt for the lack of ammenities and all the problems we had it was not worth the price we paid at all!

Very nice hotel in Granada just off the square from which runs the road up to the Alhambra. Great room in a building with some history and charm. Excellent bathroom and all facilities. Staff very helpful with arranging visits to Alhambra, restaurants etc.

Only downside is that it's a hundred yards or so down a narrow cobbled street which has no access to vehicles so you have to carry your own bags. Upside is that it's relatively peaceful.

  • Liked — large, well equipped room
  • Disliked — carrying bags up cobbled street

This is a renovation of an very old building with all modern conveniences. The staff is absolutely terrific: helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They always went out of their way to accommodate our every need and request. The location could not be better and the cost was very reasonable. A very hearty breakfast with lots of choices is also included and available within the building. We highly recommend this place, a 5-10 minute walk from all the major sites except the Cartuja and the Alhambra but a very short cab or bus ride to those. The hotel is also extremely quiet. One thing that is a special bonus is that prior to our arrival they email a welcome greeting along with details on how to get to the hotel depending on the mode by which you arrive in the city. Unfortunately, though they tell you where the airport bus leaves you off in terms of distance (250 meters from the hotel) they do not tell you the walking directions from that point or the name of the stop where you should get off the bus. (The airport bus makes several stops coming into the heart of the city.) This matters because the hotel is tucked away on a quiet back street and even locals do not know the street well. This is a minor quibble to be sure but guests should be prepared and can email the hotel for those final 250 meters of direction We would stay here again without hesitation.
