We stayed at the Migueletes Hotel in mid-April. The location was excellent - a short walk to shopping, restaurants and the bus to the Alhambra. The rooms were very clean. However, our room (a Junior Suite) was very dark inside and had only one small window. It was hard to see or read in the room - even with all the lights turned on. Although the room had plenty of space and decent furniture, it had a cave-like atmosphere. My mother in law had an Executive room with a small terrace and Alhambra view. The terrace was nice and the room was much brighter than ours, but it would have been quite small for two people. The staff members were friendly, cheerful and helpful. They provided good directions and excellent restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was held in a basement room (again, a bit like a cave) and was generous, but not exciting. The Migueletes is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it is a good value for tourists looking to sleep in a very clean room and spend most of their time away from it.

Located in quiet alleyway just a couple of minutes from the bustling Plaza Santa Ana, the hotel is an oasis of calm, the rooms surrounding an attractive courtyard which is open to the sky.

We received a warm greeting from the staff, arriving as we did late and very damp on a cold and wet evening and were made to feel very welcome with help carrying our baggage and advice on the best places to eat locally – and were also happy to make reservations.

Our room (17) was one of the smaller ones but was extremely comfortable with a decent sized ensuite shower-room which delivered plenty of hot water on demand. The room was kept impeccably clean and was very quiet indeed.

Breakfast is in the basement in an attractive room and represented very good value – a range of cold meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals and hot drinks – just the thing to set you up for a full day’s sightseeing.

For information: my wife uses a wheelchair but can walk a little and while there is a lift serving the upper floors from the courtyard, this area is accessed by nine fairly gentle steps from the street level. These steps would benefit from a handrail as it would also help access for others. The lift does not extend to the basement but I’d guess that it would be possible for the “pusher” to carry breakfast upto the courtyard.

We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly return to this hotel.

This hotel is in a quaint alley just behind the Plaza de Santa Ana and well sign-posted from the Plaza. Reception was simple and yet very friendly (including last minute help to get us tickets to the Alhambra). Most of the rooms are open onto a traditional central patio.

Only problem for us was the very noisy and small room we had on the first night that was just next to the stairs. We asked to change rooms for the next two nights and their gave us a much better one on the top floor for the same price (thanks - it really saved the trip!).

By the way folks - you can get a nice night-time photo of Alhambra from the top floor balcony.

Cheerful friendly staff, who seemed to enjoy their work. The hotel had a lot of character and restored sympathetically to provide modern amenities in a very old building. My partner was delighted to discover a hidden spare bedroom (room 11) to escape my snoring. Breakfasts were of fresh fruit, cheese and cold meats, with a variety of pastry.

Situated perfectly for the the sights, in the old quarter of Granada, which was traffic free, but the bonus was a very quiet neighbourhood.

Within a minute of the bus to Alhambra Palace. Although you could walk to the Alhambra, would advise taking the bus as the entrance area is very confusing and the bus takes you right to the ticket office. Would very strongly advise buying tickets to the palace on-line prior to your visit. The que on the day we visited was over 4 hours long for those without tickets.

Cannot think of anything negative to stay about the place.
