Hotel is in a classic urban residence around a courtyard, and has retained its charm with updated facilities. Location is perfect--just off Plaza Nueva and close to all the key sights. Quiet street (no cars). Room was delightful, new bathroom, but opened onto interior. More a place to sleep than hang out. Not exceptionally private, unless you close the curtains. Some good extras: free internet in the library/sitting room, good breakfast included. Staff is exceptionally helpful (with good English, for those for whom that is important). Since taxis cannot come right up to hotel, you need to have luggage you can handle. Definitely recommended. Good value for money.

  • Disliked — interior view

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. We arrived really late because of delayed flights, and it was no problem to check in. The room was gorgeous (we treated ourselves to the junior suite) and the breakfast buffet really decent. The hotel staff organised our trip to the Alhambra with no difficulty.
On the negative side, the hotel is quite noisy - not so much at night, but early in the morning. Because all the floors are stone, and all the rooms surrounding an outside courtyard, the sound of the cleaners arriving in the morning and starting their work echoed around and woke me and my partner up every morning at about 7 (even though I had ear plugs in).
All in all though I was really pleased with the hotel and would recommend it.

A great place to stay for lots of reasons. First, the location puts you in the heart of the old Moorish section of Granada. Second, the building itself is a wonderful (and completely renovated) centuries old bulding, with the rooms surrounding a lovely central courtyard. Third, the staff are warm, friendly, helpful, and also speak good English. Fourth, there is a wide variety of delicious food at breakfast, which is included in the price of the room. And, fifth, there is the free glass of sherry in the early evening.

Two words of caution, however. This hotel is not for the disabled or infirm. You have to be able to walk with your bags for a couple of short blocks from the nearest taxi drop-off, and you may find yourself walking up a flight of stairs to your room. For everyone else, it's well worth the effort!!

Also, for those who are driving into Granda -- follow the hotel's instructions EXACTLY!!!! Do just as they say, park in the public lot they recommend, and taxi over, and you'll be fine. Unfortunately, we tried to park in a slightly closer lot and ended up wandering the city streets for almost an hour, completely lost and confused in the maze of narrow one-way streets and hamstrung by all the streets closed to traffic.

From the moment we checked in, the hotel staff could not have been more helpful. Even if busy they went out of their way to
provide maps and recommendations as well as useful tips. Unlike many of this hotels' reviewers, we found the location without any trouble - although hidden away in a back street it's well signposted and only a stone's throw from the hill that takes you to the Alhambra.
Our room was beautifully furnished, spacious, very welcoming and had a wonderful view of the Alhambra, which floodlit at night is amazing. One warning, the Alhambra ticket office is located quite a way from the actual entrance. This is an uphill climb which I imagine is quite exhausting in the summer heat although there are buses and taxis to take you there. Again the hotel reception staff were very obliging.
Breakfast was extremely good - the ladies who looked after it were very attentive and as soon as a dish was looking depleted were very quick to replenish.
Casa de Migueletes was probably one of the best hotels we've stayed at and I would have no hesitation in recommending in to all
