Arrived in Granada, after a stay at the room mate mario in madrid, with a slight knot in the stomach, hoping that this room mate hotel would be as wonderful as the one in madrid. we were not disappointed. This is a unique small boutique hotel, hard to find but when found, in a laneway, quiet and a treasure. Jose greeted us with warmth and ushered us into our room which was a delight. Again the signature apple by the bed. This hotel has a wonderful lounge area, and very small breakfast room which was once the cellar. Every night at 8.00 pm complimentary sherries served in the bottle cellar, and a chance to meet fellow guests. This place is the oasis in this wonderful city. My husband and I felt welcomed and cossested. Many thanks to Jose and the wonderful Elena, who by now has travelled to Madrid. Is this hotel chain the new find!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on the fifth night of our seven day honeymoon in Spain. What a luxury! We stayed in a standard double, which though not overly big, was clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel itself is gorgeous, including the quiet oasis of a pleasant central courtyard. There was also no shortage of modern conveniences including cable TV and high speed internet.

After enjoying the complementary glass of sherry and some olives, we headed out to search for dinner in the nearby Albayzin district. Five days of heavy sightseeing and a bad head cold finally got the best of me, however, and we headed back to the hotel out of exhaustion. The woman at reception was extremely accommodating and helped us to order pizza and even sent up some complementary champagne... not exactly the traditional Spanish meal, but very much appreciated at that particular point in time!

We slept extraordinarily well and enjoyed the well-stocked complementary breakfast before heading to the Alhambra. Another staff member was very helpful in planning our onward travel back to Madrid and providing directions around town. All in all, our experience with this hotel was so wonderful that I wish we would have planned an extra night's stay. We will definitely use this hotel chain the next time we are in Spain!

Having stayed in the excellent Room Mate Mario hotel in Madrid chose this because of the same chain.

Not disappointed. Very friendly staff made stay perfect.

Included booking tour of Alhambra Palace (advisable to avoid disappointment).

Complimentary drinks & olives on arrival.

Excellent breakfast & top list of recommended local restaurants & bars.

We were lucky to book one of the rooms that have a view of the Alhambra Palace from a corner window. The excellent location, the generous size of room, the free glass of cherry and tapas of olives from the downstairs bodega at night and a really excellent breakfast made this hotel one of the best hotels in Spain for us.

The beauty of this hotel starts with the women who run the place. It extends into the large and well appointed rooms, its convenient location (near the Alhambra and the Muslim Quarter) and extras like in-room internet and a great breakfast.

my only compliant was that my room was too dark. A few more lamps or brighter bulbs would have helped me in doing a little business whilst enjoying Granada's many tourist attractions.
