Having stayed in the excellent Room Mate Mario hotel in Madrid chose this because of the same chain.

Not disappointed. Very friendly staff made stay perfect.

Included booking tour of Alhambra Palace (advisable to avoid disappointment).

Complimentary drinks & olives on arrival.

Excellent breakfast & top list of recommended local restaurants & bars.

We were lucky to book one of the rooms that have a view of the Alhambra Palace from a corner window. The excellent location, the generous size of room, the free glass of cherry and tapas of olives from the downstairs bodega at night and a really excellent breakfast made this hotel one of the best hotels in Spain for us.

The beauty of this hotel starts with the women who run the place. It extends into the large and well appointed rooms, its convenient location (near the Alhambra and the Muslim Quarter) and extras like in-room internet and a great breakfast.

my only compliant was that my room was too dark. A few more lamps or brighter bulbs would have helped me in doing a little business whilst enjoying Granada's many tourist attractions.

We stayed at Room Mate Migueletes for three nights in October. The hotel is very nice and the staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are functional and attractive. The breakfast was great, and was served in a lovely breakfast room. Now for the downside. Our room (#3) was located on the second floor, at the front of the hotel. It was unbelievably noisy. First, the street at the front of the hotel is extremely narrow, which creates kind of a megaphone-effect for people's voices as they enter the hotel. Second, the front door of the hotel, which is a very heavy wooden door, is locked at night. As each guest entered or left the hotel, the door slammed shut with a loud BANG! It was impossible to sleep through this. I can only imagine that Room #1, which also faces the front of the hotel, but is on the first floor, suffers from even worse noise problems. In fairness, I should point out that we did not complain to the staff about the noise problem and request a different room. (In restrospect, if we had realized how noisy the room would be on three nights of our stay, we would have requested a different room.) So -- don't hold these comments against the hotel or its lovely staff, but do request an interior room.

we stayed at the Room Mate Migueletes in Granada, Spain. The reason we chose this hotel was because of all the rave reviews on trip advisor. Well, this hotel is not a luxury hotel in any form. It was clean and the people were nice, but it didn't do what a good hotel should and that is provide a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel has the acoustics of Carnegie Hall, we could hear the comings and goings at night of every person on our floor and the one above us. Forget going to bed early, sleeping soundly and sleeping late. None of these were possible due to the fact that you could hear foot steps all night and conversations in the hall way. Mind you this was with our hotel door closed and locked. on top of that it is a very overpriced hotel. It's named as one of the most expensive hotels in Granada in Frommer's and Fodor's, but I don't know why they think they have the ability to charge so much. The rooms were Tiny and the TV was maybe 14 inches big. No restaurant or room service other than for breakfast. From the description on trip advisor I thought I was going to a first rate hotel, and let me tell you, it was not. On a high note, the breakfast was good.
